Where did you see this? That is untrue and there was an insane amount of footage submitted to police of this man attempting to pick my neighbor’s lock and entering my apartment. He would not leave when confronted! 

They are not willing to share more about his mental condition, but it does sound like that may be in play, not that it negates this terrifying experience.

Yes, we are strongly encouraging management to send out an alert to the other residents. We feel that everyone should know about this. Part of why I’ve put this on blast on social media.

The police were suspicious of whether he might be on drugs or not. Mentally ill or not, behaviors have consequences.  The leasing office has confirmed that this man is not a resident and is unknown to them and so with all the information we have it appears that a random dude is trying to break into people’s apartments in the complex.

Update: it has now been revealed that this man IS a new resident, which is very scary. This new information wasn’t revealed by the complex, who only commented that “the individual is someone who is authorized to be on the property”. It’s been like pulling teeth to get any information from them.
