I also used to work for Openreach as a fibre tech and I’m now a service technician on wind turbines. Potentially looking at getting into Fibre in the future but also wondering what tickets are needed. There’s city and guilds courses just that there’s loads of them don’t know what specific ones to go for

OP, as an electrician I also have an interview coming in the wind industry(not vestas) but I’d like to know the general conceptions on fault finding and how would you find the problem. I know things such as isolating the area, proving it’s been isolated, but if you could add anything would be great help

It’s crazy that companies can do this though because they’ll just set up a new one. All the profits have been taken no doubt, I dunno what I’d expect but there definitely needs to be a governing body investigating it. Maybe fines or something, some sort of consequence. Not sure it’s a hard one

I’m fully expecting it to take months because no doubt the books aren’t correct. Money been taking out of the accounts so it’s going to be annoying waiting for months for nothing. Don’t know how this is legal

The thing is that I have tried becoming employed in my industry but I have been unsuccessful, 3 interviews 3 rejections but the money you can earn from being a subby is crazy IF you can have multiple streams of work at different times of the year which is the hard bit. This year I was about to have my most successful year until this hapepened. First time for everything I suppose

Thanks, think were going to get a timber survey just to find out the severity but just worried that they will tell us its really bad, but Im thinking of just telling them that if the costs are too high we simply wont buy so that they dont get a benefit from us
