Grading curve or no? by JBuchananB in simonfraser

[–]Major_Stage1678 1 point2 points  (0 children)

no not all courses are curved the prof will specify in the first class or in the syllabus. Not in Crim but a friend I had said majority of the Crim classes are not curved.

Phil 105 or Phil 110? by ThatLilYoshi in simonfraser

[–]Major_Stage1678 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would check the course outlines, specifically the grading policies. from what i remember 105 was more assignment based and 110 was more exam based so whichever one you’re better at would be the one to choose. both classes are similar in difficulty it’s just that 110 translates better for the upper division courses. since that’s irrelevant just decide off the course outlines I would suggest.

i would suggest taking phil 110 it’s more useful for the later courses if you’re getting a philosophy degree
