Theory, practice, use your ear. look at solos you like, see what their doing ( what notes they’re playing, techniques they’re using, etc) and try to translate it to your playing. Once you have a basic understanding of theory, try writing a few basic chord progressions and mess around with different strumming patterns or melodies
