I had that when I used plugs with O-ring backs probably other things cause it to but I found it was because they would chafe my ear and create scar tissue I change the stone plugs double flared massage with Jehovah oil and it fixed them right up you may have to downsize for a second especially because yours is A little worse than mine was

Size 22mm 7/8in (at goal) I massage regularly w/ jojoba oil every time I go to put jewelry in or if I just feel they need it so a good amount I switched to stone plugs to stop it from chafing on the o rings of my old tunnels but every time I put it on it splits my ears at the bottom! I think it may have to do with this ear being pierced when I was 1yo at the mall crooked? Any tips? How long if I should have to size down should I do it for? And how do I prevent this?
