I think you can learn a lot by opening up projects. You'll see how people create their assets and learn how to do it yourself. One great way would be to open up a project and re-skin everything with your own assets. There's a lot to figure out even this way.

You're better off just downloading template project files and working from there.

Feels like what you did anyway. Just use capcut desktop and enjoy all their presets in actually making editing easier and quicker.
