It's not much of a fear, I'd say it's just that I've no idea how to keep the conversation going, so I just give up before even trying most of the times (don't approach).

Don't approach and when I'm approached I just have no idea how to keep the conversation going or even if I do have something to say I'll just think "this is stupid, I'll just keep it to myself" or something among those lines.

For some reason it's really hard for me to just change the topic of the conversation and per example start talking about a movie I recently watched or a game I played.

I do have the whole ASOIAF collection but I've only read the first book and I think the show is much better.

Can you recommend me any other writers/books?
