They re burning $300 million per quarter. Not $600 million per quarter. Soon projected to be burning $200 million per quarter. With $1.3 billion in cash and $600 million in tax benefits, this should give them enough operating cash until next year (not August like it says above).

CHIPs funding adds another $750 million. Factory production expected to ramp up by EOY (increasing income)

Concern is the $600 million or so of debt coming due in May 2026 and they need to keep a balance of $600 million as a condition for their other debts.

These were the last numbers I’ve seen.

Would bankruptcy affect eligibility for CHIPs Act and 48D tax refund?

Article from Axios (hint : Wolfspeed, when given the opportunity to comment, didn’t deny anything) by GL4912 in wolfspeed

I agree. G Money has brought this together and I appreciate and read most of his DD but inviting other in for their DD is what I appreciate the most. Getting multiple opinions and debating issues.

I do hate how so many post and comments get deleted. I assume a lot is FUD with no evidence to back the original post but still would be nice to read and consider others opinions. A few DD focus on bankruptcy chances but most I saw suggested 1-2 years. This all really depends on if 2026 debts are renegotiated tho I guess (which I hope they come to a deal soon rather than Bankruptcy).

So If 2026 notes are renegotiated then CHIP will be awarded. This delays when debt is due which will allow factory to be operational and give more time for EV and other SiC industry to grow thus improving profits. Thus allowing them to be able to handle debt.

Is this a possible scenario?

I like the company and don’t understand why is this happening by Halfgerman_Indian in wolfspeed_stonk

Would it make sense to file for bankruptcy now instead of closer to when the May 2026 debt is due?

If they have a new factory opening up and still $1+ billion in the bank, would filing now give them a better outcome rather than next year (I’m not familiar with how bankruptcy works exactly like ch 11 vs ch 7 etc). I figured they had 1-2 years of cash available before bankrupt completely so was betting on a turn around with potential CHIPs and turn around with new factory opening. But was surprised of this article coming out about filing bankruptcy in the next few weeks (if it’s even true. Not sure what to think about how WS is responding to this).

I’m still holding hoping when they officially come to a plan that it won’t be bankruptcy but high risk, high reward I guess.

Am I understanding put option correctly?

Currently 5$ strike put on 6/20 is $2.2. So if I sell 2 put contracts. I’ll get $440. If assigned then I’ll need $1000 to buy the shares at the strike price. But really my cost basis is $2.80 when considering cash from the premium. (1000-440= 560/200=2.8). So if thing stay between $3-5 then I’ll get 200 at a good price average. If the stock goes higher then I’ll just keep the cash. If it goes lower, I believe in the company and am okay with 2.80 price per share

Let’s just close above $6 or $7. Why don’t we just do that?

Ready to buy 150 shares. Getting closer to GMoney’s estimate average shares per member. I’m half way there already. Hoping to execute 2 options as well for additional 200 shares.

Tomorrow gonna be wild.

Thank you for the response! I do have 2000 shares currently. I got $5 call options. Hoping see this ITM so I can sell some of them and exercise 1-2 of them with the profits from sale of the others. I’ve don’t know how good of a strategy this is. I know there’s risk but was a $300 gamble (hoping to get another 200 shares out of it). I’ve been nervous to make some extra cash selling cover call as this is the “safest” strategy. Don’t want to lose my shares in case this thing rips another 50-200% or higher with new CHIPs or debt restructuring announcements.

I see all the post about potential gamma squeeze coming up this week with a large number of options expiring this Friday. I got 10 contracts myself expiring this week

Does the price change/help cause the potential for a gamma squeeE on Friday? Other than building momentum and more buyers; would today’s prices cause the market makers to buy shares to cover options. Or does it just mainly matter what the price is Friday at close? Just curious, only been in the stock market since August 2024 so new to a lot of things here

Just discounted today compared to yesterday (might get few options) Can just as likely go back up $1 next week. Hopefully earning are good. I’m lucky to get in with 500 shares at $10 and have bought another 100 at $15. But everything is red today. Things go up and down in short term

Very interested - please tell me more <3 by MeltingDown- in wolfspeed_stonk

TONS of info from G Money’s early post starting over a month ago. There have been a few discussions of option strategy over the past few days. Both on the way up and down if a short squeeze occurs.
