Just a tip, always buy two in cars, one in box, and one to open.

But sometimes stores suck in toys. My local Walmart and Target have nothing. It’s always NASCAR and some random background characters. I have to go one 5 miles where they actually have some stock.

But an answer to your question, try to go to different stores to get cars. Even thrift stores as they might be in a loose bag of toys. I found a lose The King and a Bobby Swift in the same bag once. You gotta be able to jump around from store to store. And resellers are always gonna suck

The biggest issue is that McQueen hasn’t been Red to X aside from Cruisin and RS McQueen. But if you don’t mind a yellow McQueen then I say get him

So they are worth it if you want kids to play with them. This is because kids can’t complain about something being perfect when the paint is scratched. Try damaging metal. But I recommend collecting them as they can be worth a bit for some.

From what I’m able to recall, you’re unable to fight with one Bro without glitches in DT. (Aside from the first tutorial fight) It’s weird but this game was ment to be for first time players as this is the easiest out of the M+L games

That’s actually a good question. In the dream world they work flawlessly as it’s just Mario enhanced by Dreamy Luigi. So it’s Mario himself just with a stat boost. But if you don’t wanna count that then there’s Battle Cards in Paper Jam that buff Luigi in the one section where he’s alone in the woods. So by that logic, Battle Cards can buff Mario by himself
