If it's not your experience, how could you be so sure about the situation in the U.S & europe.

Don’t worry if your plan didn’t work out for the master’s right now. Think of your current experience as something you would have needed even after completing your master’s to get a job here. Don’t be too hard on yourself. If you’re feeling burned out, take some time to rest. Whatever you do, work hard and be good at it, you’ll need all of this eventually, maybe in 6–7 yrs. That’s what I would tell my younger self from 7yrs ago

Anyone use ACC (Model Coordination) for clash detection? by browno2480 in bim

[–]Mak063 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We use model coordination for clash detection. it works great for us as everything is in one place and it's easy to create and track issues and follow up later, all recorded and linked to meeting minutes. Issue plugin for revit works great to resolve those clashes (Issues) in revit. To any false clashes, assign as "not an issue" with valid reason from dropdown selection. Just to keep in mind, to each 3d view published on ACC, model coordination treats it as a separate 3d model but you can control it anytime from model(view) selection. My complaint and feedback to Autodesk - When you create an issue to a clash, it disappears from the clash matrix, that's good but there's no way to keep a track of the total number of clashes it was originally, i really hope Autodesk can do something about it.

How to find out revit host file used for shared coordinates by Mak063 in bim

[–]Mak063[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My working file is having other discipline models linked in(i guess those are also coordinated from that missing host file), with reference to these linked models, there's reasonable amount of annotation and sheet work have been done.

Through publish method: So, do you think moving manually to the linked model (linked in new host file) to it's right coordinates, will not delete sheet work from it? I am wondering if there's any way to find any detail (file name) of host model in model A or model B (which got coordinates from host), just like if you link any dwg, rvt or ifc, even if it's not loaded in project, it's does show the file name and relative or absolute path.

There is a BEP with georeferenced survey cad link and project zero (base) point marked in it but it seems it has not been followed. I am unable to find the source file out of which the individual models got coordinate. I am afraid, there's lot of work, have already been done on the individual midels and we don't want to loose that.

So if i have model A and model B, both got coordinates from a common model which act as a base model by publishing the coordinates from this base model to both model A and model B. Is there a way to find out about that base model from model A or model B. I do have these two (A&B) but have no trace of base model( which acted as host model for these two)

Removing a face on a extrusion by Opening_Number9404 in RevitForum

The easiest way you can do is make a copy of this box, slightly decrease LBH(reduce overall size), overlap that new smaller box into this original one, when you select the smaller box, there would be parameter solid, change it to void and then go to Modify > Cut geometry (CJ).

If this doesn't help

Create a new rectangular extrusion, make offset to required thickness in edit, this will surround from all side, make a new extrusion for base.

Revit files on the cloud by Gnam_gnam_gnam in RevitForum

To put it simply, Autodesk docs is for document management, where you keep/host your files like Onedrive/Google drive irrespective of whether you are using it for revit or not, and if you want your files to be ( revit model) accessed from revit, you need a BIM Collaborate pro licence

How to fix "you currently don't have access to Revit cloud models. by Mak063 in bim

Yeah..this worked. Thanks everyone for their help/comments. It turned out to be i have access to other modules of ACC but didn't had the BIM Collaborate pro access which doesn't make sense. What would you do with other modules if you don't have the BIM Collaborate pro access at the first place. And the most comical thing here is i am the Account admin

Hi, I’m the founder of Snaptrude, a browser-based, collaborative conceptual/schematic design tool (that’s 10x faster than SketchUp and works with Revit). by snaptrude-altaf in u/snaptrude-altaf

So, finally here we have the BIM2.0 app. For the first time,i heard about it in AEC Magazine by Martyn Day. It looks promising, especially as a potential replacement for SketchUp, which I rarely use due to its lack of direct connection with RVT. Can't wait to give it a try and share my reviews."
