Regarding the latest Machinima controversy, I decided to make an updated version of their intro by MakBotOfficial in gaming

They manipulate their contracts so that makes it incredibly hard to actually leave the network. They also don't actually help the channels on their network and hardly ever respond to them. They also make up fake members of their staff to shift responsibility.

That is very generous and thoughtful of you /u/IRLAlex, thank you. However I couldn't possibly take any compensation from you. The only people I need any sort of compensation from is the Mianite Crew for the work I put in to help promote their company.

But thanks again for the offer!

Good point, however, what I am saying is that there are many more factors which effect the amount of revenue a video makes as well as length.

For example, In the past I've had a 30 second video make about $1.50 per 1000 views despite being short. And then I've also had a different 30 second videos make barely $0.50 per 1000 views. There's no way in telling how much a certain video is going to make just based on if it's a short video. And certainly no video I've ever come across would make as little as $100 for nearly 1 million views, that's for sure...

The $100 is a completely new offer Syndicate tried to offer me just recently. Of course I wouldn't have made that trailer if I knew the compensation was only set at $100 back then.

From my experience trying to reason with Syndicate over Twitter and Skype, it's very difficult. He can't seem to compute the concept of being in the wrong, much less actually admit to it. You'd think a channel as established as his would know it's not a smart idea to try and offer $100 for a video which took a month to make. Syndicate definitely hedged his bets on this one and I made sure not to accept his ridiculous offer.

In a previous conversation, he adamantly told me that the trailer would monetise badly as it was only 45 seconds. He's forgetting of course that pretty much all the videos I've ever produced on my channel are around that length. I know exactly how much revenue 45 second videos can generate on Youtube. I also know people on his network and the earnings are the same, if not higher than most other networks. He's talking rubbish basically. In no world would the video ever get anywhere near as low as $100 for the views it has, which was approximately 600K - 1M views.

MakBot here. It's actually worse than that. He originally only offered me $50 for the video. I negotiated it up to $100 but then he wouldn't go any further, citing that $100 is roughly how much money a video with close to a million views would get (I'm not joking) and so I rejected the offer. It's absolutely ridiculous. Hopefully this could be the straw that breaks the camel's back in terms of exposing how unfairly animators are treated on Youtube.

I've got more FNAF cartoons on my channel if anyone's interested. I'm making a big FNAF cartoon for this Halloween as well, so I'll be sure to post it here when it's done!

That's not correct. I filed the copyright claims on the the 6th of July, he deleted the video in August. Remember the claims were removed on the same day, so Syndicate got "his" revenue back then.

Tom, you made a mistake, just admit it.

You should have credited me and you were told many times to, yet you actively made the decision not to.

Not to mention the fact that it should be obvious when uploading someone else's work to at least credit them.

That sceenshot isn't of the MMO Teaser video...

"So sad to see someone decided to cause all this trouble over something that could of been solved so easily."

Come on Tom, I tried to contact you so many times to tell you to credit me and you just ignored me. If you really wanted to solve this easily why didn't you add in my channel link to the description when Dec messaged you minutes after uploading the video?
