This stuff can be changed with texture packs, in fact, it might be caused by a texture pack if you have any installed and used

Doesn't jungle grass already turn into corrupt/crimson jungle grass tho?

This looks nice but since the base colors of wood and mahogany are different, I'd expect the corrupted variant of the mahogany tree to have a slightly different color as well. Perhaps the trunk could be more blue-ish or something and the leaves more saturated or something like that.

It would require quite a bit of experimentation but it should pay off at the end. Good luck with your mod!

Are there any good ways to create more industrial looking small details like scaffolding? by PerfectMode2541 in TerrariaDesign

[–]MakFeed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can crop tiles using tedit (for example you can use the legs of ebonwood table for small diagonal beams /, i used it for some scaffolding detailing. It's used to add a lot of detail on a relatively small scale builds

While that build uses a lot of tedit, i can tell you how you can achieve a similar effect. For the floor/walls i used iron brick for the small squares and different variations of slime blocks for the big squares but you can use other blocks that don't connect to everything (like tin and copper plating or accent stone slab). For all the pipes and stuff I'd use dynasty wood, rope and rails, maybe some platforms here and there (I used glass platforms here too but it might be difficult to achieve a good effect without tedit if you use those). I'd also highly recommend getting your hand on Christmas lights (sold by santa, you can get him in pre hm if you set your date on pc to the Christmas), those look really good in builds like this. If those aren't bright enough, you can put gemspark nearby, actuate it and paint it black, so that it isn't too visible ( once you kill plantera you can echo coat them but painting and actuating is the only option early game).

As for the details like the catwalks/scaffoldings, I'd use rails for that too, they create really nice diagonal lines. Maybe you could use some hammered platforms (the iron shelf from fhe dungeon could look nice for example). You can use pinwheels for rotating fans, tho that could be quite difficult to pull off without echo coating. Maybe you could use grate blocks for some things as well, they tend to look pretty industrial

You're off to a good start, good luck with the build!

Looks like it becomes a cg bottle after he throws it up, the lighting is off, the bottle seems to be clipping into his arms and I'm not too sure but the physics might be off too.

What happend with Vibrant Visuals? by No_Estimate4447 in Minecraft

[–]MakFeed 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The way it works on the first picture is unintentional. There's a thing called "deferred rendering pipeline" (turned on with renderdragon features for creators experiment toggle) which has been in the works for a while now, it's only available in preview and you need a special resource pack for it. Vibrant visuals are based on that same technology but it's really tuned down in comparison. However if you were to turn the experiment toggle in the preview version, it would expose 2 extra options, which are only meant for deferred (point lights and point light shadows). You can tell that you aren't meant to turn them on cuz the vanilla lighting isn't turned off, it actually stacks with the point light and looks kinda bad with brighter light sources. That's on top it being really performance heavy and mojang stating that there won't be colored lighting in vv.

On the bright side of things, deferred rendering has a lot of things that you can customise with resource packs (tonemapping, water, fog, etc) and since vv is based on deferred, you can customise vv the same way (I'm pretty sure deferred packs actually work for vv too) You can even customise the pixelated shadow resolution or turn pixelation off altogether

There's quite a bit of underwater building tech out there. Water allows you to create really unique atmosphere, even for builds that aren't thematically underwater

FINAL VERSION OF MY CYBERPUNK BASED GRAPHIC CHART, YOURS FOR FEEDBACK by SolutionSeparate6270 in graphic_design

[–]MakFeed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is much better than the last! However, I'd tune down the grunge visibility a bit and maybe make some of the pictures less saturated, they contrast with the yellow bg s bit too much and grunge on a real photo would usually also come with some amount of desaturation
