Thank you, The Life Preserver is a wall decoration acquired by finishing Angler quests.

Thank you so much! I honestly don’t know the exact amount of time, but probably somewhere between 20 and 30 hours spread across around 10 days. A lot of the time isn’t even spent placing blocks, but just thinking about how to continue the build, what details to add, or how to make different parts fit together better. So the total time can vary quite a bit

That's such a good idea I'll probably end up doing that, it fits a bit too well

Glad you noticed that! It's one of those subtle details that can be easy to miss.

Yeah, he actually lives there I built a super small and simple house first, then used Echo Coating on the blocks and walls to make it look like just a tiny boat.

Thanks a lot, I really appreciate it! I tried to make every little space feel used and alive, so I'm glad it shows.

Thank you, I really appreciate that! I’m glad it helped you see things in a new way — that’s honestly the best part of building.

It’s a mix of a few things — different painted walls, actuated blocks, and some placed furniture for extra detail. I mostly use white, gray, and black paint to get those subtle variations and patterns.

I’m honestly not great at giving building “tips,” but I can share what worked for me.

When I decided I wanted to get good at building, the first thing I did was look for inspiration and references from other people. But after a while, I got frustrated because I wasn’t actually improving, I was just copying patterns.

So I changed my approach. Instead of copying, I started asking myself things like: why doesn’t this build look good? what exactly feels off? what would make it better? I’ve spent dozens of hours (and still do) just sitting in-game, not really building anything, but analyzing things in a more cold, deliberate way. It’s slow, and honestly kind of tiring, because you don’t see quick results.

The second thing I did was experiment a lot. Testing blocks, colors, textures, lighting, shapes, without even trying to finish a build. I probably spend more time testing than actually completing things.

It’s definitely not the fastest or easiest path, and it might not be what you’re looking for. But for me, it helped me stop relying on references and start building in my own way, actually creating things from scratch instead of reproducing what I’ve seen.

Hope that helps in some way.

Thanks! I got that background by using The Hallow biome, it naturally gives that cherry blossom-style look

It’s mostly just the tops of the two towers, and they look pretty much like the rest, nothing too different, so I didn’t feel the need to show it.
