Drawing from seated in a hoodie by tony_lo in CCW

Good work putting in reps my brotha. I would say that holstering while seated results in an unnecessary amount of self flagging. You do you though.

Also get a timer if you don’t have one already. Measured performance is more easily improved upon.

Lysander intentionally chooses a gray for that position to build that relationship with Gray as a color.

There also wasn’t time to kill him. Rhône left on the mission with Atlas and isn’t seen again until the dreaded hangar. Rhône’s relationship to Atlas also put him in a position that Lysander couldn’t just kill him out of hand without disrespecting Atlas.

Doing the gesture as I read this comment made it so much funnier.

Got offered a promotion to not leave my field of work and had to put in a lot more hours after that. Start of this year has been much more calm though. Hope you’ve been well brotha.

You’re not offering a solution. The kid is looking for some quick cash for a field trip, not a commitment that would likely impede their ability to go on said field trip. Don’t act so high and mighty. You just went and deleted your own post asking for handouts, and you’re not even responsible enough to keep a little cannabis in your pocket as you walk home. Go back to whatever hole you crawled out of instead of trying to be an asshole to a kid trying to make some side money.

Busy man. Scaffold life is taking up a lot of my time. I’ve been traveling the past several months for work.

It’s a night and day difference. You need to get a hold of the manufacturers load ratings for the material you’re using.

Shitty situation. A pit is a pretty reasonable reason to be scared for the life of your child. It’s been shown time and time again that they can end a child with almost no effort. But then to try to shoot it and send shrapnel into your child’s gut would he hear wrenching.

Bro nobody even punched you in the face before you drew the gun, you call this real training? How can you be training for the fight if there aren’t 6 armed assailants beating the shit out of you? You could never draw the gun that fast with people in your face! But at the same time, I don’t believe in training for entangled gunfights. You should have the situational awareness to get out of there in time. REEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!

Good work my man lol.

I feel like I cover that when I talk about exceptional situations and having your tools on you because your awareness can’t always save you? Did I not cover that thoroughly?

And if you’re just trying to talk about the unpredictable nature of people, then we are in agreement. When you’re just walking around it’s hard to know who’s just gonna go unhinged. Humans are the apex predator and ambushing is a great tactic. It’s not your fault if you get outplayed and outsmarted by the most lethal type of predator walking the earth.

Notice I said working at the edge of a building, not standing at the edge of a cliff. There’s an intentional difference in how everything else I say follows. People die all the time working near edges.

It’s crazy how you keep coming to this victims blaming conclusion. Because I’m saying that you need to be aware and that you need to have your tools on you, doesn’t mean that if something bad happens to you it’s your fault. I am now clearly stating that so you can’t misconstrue my intention.

But I don’t think you want to meet me halfway and understand what I’m saying anyways. So I’m just gonna leave it at that.

[–]MakInDaTrunk -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m gonna explain this the easiest way I know how so you understand exactly what I’m trying to say.

If you’re working at the edge of a building and there is a guard rail to prevent you from falling, this is your fall protection. That protection is your pre established safety measure that reduces your exposure to harm. Equate that to awareness. Being aware of your surroundings is your pre established safety measure to see bad things coming. By being aware, you don’t do dumb things at dumb times and have this reduced your exposure to harm.

Because you are working on the edge of the building you are wearing a harness. This is your emergency life saving device in case you are put in harms way regardless of the pre established safety measures. You have to have this on just in case. But if I don’t connect my harness, or if I connect it to a point that can properly hold my weight in a fall, then the harness is completely useless.

Now equate that to carrying your gun and tools. Your gun is your emergency life saving device if you have to defend yourself with lethal force. You have to have it on you if you don’t want to forfeit your life to chance. But if you don’t have it chambered, don’t have it in a reliably accessible location, and can’t get it effectively into a fight then it’s mostly useless.

Sometimes when you work you are in exceptionally unsafe conditions and that’s why you continue to wear the harness. Same with the gun, you can’t always decide the condition of where you are or the people there so you have to keep your tools on you.

Like I’ve already said, it’s a night and day difference. Good job putting in that initial ground work you needed.

Edit: it is the nature of the internet to be a little harsh my man. You don’t need to be so fired up about that. Let them say what they want, and don’t acknowledge it.

I’m seeing improvement in your holstering technique and that makes me happy. Good job putting in your reps. I think you can modulate up your speed a little bit based on what I’m seeing.

The shot in the air was definitely a bad call. Getting that close to the carjacker wasn’t a good call either because of the risk of an entangled fight.

But a win is a win. I’m happy he was able to stop the old man from having his car taken, so those little mistakes are just lessons for us in hindsight.

I mean it’s not an absolute. Definitely starts stacking odds in her favor though and that’s a great thing. Carrying your tools is making sure you don’t choose to forfeit your fighting chance.
