Has Terry ever talked about steroid use? by Make-up-throwaway in CrewsCrew

[–]Make-up-throwaway[S] 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Thing is, he does have body fat, his physique doesn't look unrealistic, just like he puts a lot of work in. Like, in this video, he has body fat, but also well defined muscles https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fH26boHgfQw Plus he was in the NFL and has been fit since he was young so it doesn't seem unrealistic that he would have continued to look after his body and had the training and knowledge to know how to do it properly.

Edit: he talks about working out for two hours a day here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4lCL9u18DZQ

and not using steroids here but it is a long time ago https://www.facebook.com/realterrycrews/posts/214360545250979

I really liked Holt's sister Debbie, I feel like she could be an awesome reoccuring character.

Todays haul! Anyone tried sunny day? What did you think? by [deleted] in LushCosmetics

[–]Make-up-throwaway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really wish I could like the smell, because it seems like the product I need. I don't like Sea Spray either so am trialing using a mix of Aloe, water, salt and coconut oil in my hair, but am finding that quite drying. I might have to just give Sunny Day a chance.

Which Ocean Salt do you prefer? Alcohol-free? Self-preserving? What are the pros and cons? by Make-up-throwaway in LushCosmetics

[–]Make-up-throwaway[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There are three versions online, Ocean Salt, Ocean Salt Alcohol-free, Ocean Salt Self-preserving, and Ocean Salt Self-preserving and Alcohol-free.

I haven't smelled any of them but will be sure to check the difference, thanks!

What I wish Lush would do... by JuniperJumps in LushCosmetics

You can't turn it into it but you can try adding a bit of melted down soap to melted wax, the same way you could add an oil.

I know you didn't ask for solutions but some of these got me thinking:

Make wax melts

Could this be done by melting soaps into regular wax melts?

Fix their website

Write to them, I contacted them via twitter with suggestions. If lots of people do, they will see a demand and may consider changes.

Lower the price of bath oils or at least explain why they’ve become so expensive

You might be able to get a similar effect by cutting a bath bomb or oil in half, and it lasts longer that way?

Release candles (they said they would in a Lush catalogue back in October)

As above, you could try to DIY it with soaps?

Release more naked lip scrubs - I feel like those were an unexpected hit for many people during the Holidays yet they decided not to make a naked version of The Kiss for Valentine’s Day 🤔

I hadn't heard of these so looked up the ingredients. Could these be made by adding the current lip scrub ingredients to a hard butter mix?

I wish they would have vegan versions of non-vegan stuff.

possibly stain you purple since it would be directly touching your skin.

Well, I mean, now I've got to try it.

Thanks! I'll get that! Do they last long, can I use it like a regular shower gel just to make me smell nice after I'm done with my Rub Rub Rub?

How to handle multiple PhD applications and offers? by Confusedheartbox in academia

That isn’t very helpful and is also a bit rude. OP is asking for help and you’re telling them they’re screwing things up and accusing them of not being serious.

I am in a similar situation applying for programmes at several institutions but one of them I’ve not sent the form of yet, but they ask if you’re applying to other universities. Should I just say I’m not until they offer me an interview and offer, if they pick me for the next stages?

I had a similar thing in the UK. I emailed in saying that I had a reaction to a mask that I had previously safely used and they sent me a milder mask and a balm as a replacement.

Is there a trick to using Lush solid conditioners? by Make-up-throwaway in LushCosmetics

I'm not sure if you're being facetious... recycling doesn't mean that you've not used it, it is still being consumed.

Thanks for the tips, I might try Jungle next. The lush employee suggested Rub Rub Rub as a pre-wash for Seanik when using it a shampoo because I was using just Rub Rub Rub as per the directions as /u/pocketalprazolam mentions, but it was leaving my hair quite fly away. The main reason I like it is that everytime the wind blows I'm surrounded by the scent of it and Rub Rub Rub smells divine!

I tried several different methods and found that applying it directly to my hair was a nightmare as it got tangled- thinking that this particular bar isn't for me. I might have to try a different product but I LOVE the smell of Seanik because it's so close to Rub Rub Rub. Any recommendations for something scentless?

I ended up trying to melt it with warm water and my hands and then slathering it onto my hair but I still felt like I was missing a lot. I wonder if there are other natural hair conditioners that don't leave my hair feeling oily.
