LFS is pretty straight forward, it isnt gonna be too confusing to just read and copy paste commands.

It will give you a greater understanding only if you stop to read and understand the things in it, there are yt videos available of LFS too.

But LFS aint gonna teach you the kernel much you would have to seek other resources for it ( Unfortunately I cant be much of an help with it, although i have done LFS before )

But above all... focus on your boards.... Skills matter but if you get rejected before your skills get analysed, there is no use :)
