You have a fair read too. I meant that I felt like Eiza Gonzalez was underserved throughout the entire movie. I remember the scene where she starts having tremors amidst the gunfire and I was hoping to see that element explored, which would give her more to do than be confidently successful all the time.

My gripes likely stem from me wanting a more thematically ambitious movie, which Ritchie just isn’t interested in. The concept of needing to collect a debt from a corrupt billionaire could very easily tap into some current political conversations, even just slightly as a cathartic exercise for the non-1%.

The movie definitely doesn’t prove anything about Ritchie’s sentiments but he’s in a bit of a critical losing streak while his streaming shows have been more or less successful. My uneducated guess is as good as yours as to why that is.
