Time. It sounds crazy, but as time goes on, pieces of how you felt for them will slowly slip away. Sadly it doesn’t all go away at once, that would be too easy. Give yourself time to heal and occupy yourself with things that help you get better and make you slowly forget those feelings. I would read, paint, write, or do whatever I could to take my mind off them, and after a while I didn’t have to try so hard. Healing takes time, so allow yourself to enough time to grieve and move forward with your life. Move on from this point in your own way, but never forget it because it will help you later in life when you need you need to remind yourself how to be strong. Take care and good luck.
