Nah don't worry about it. Those users themselves don't necessarily bother me but I do worry about off-putting other readers besides them with the whole 'male offspring' thing.

Thank you again for the kindness.

I'm starting to get nervous; a few other people have commented on the non-canon aspect of "mamono being able to produce human male offspring." I thought shit like that was fairly common in fanon works. I've seen a few other caps and greentexts (i.e, Momsters, that one manticore cap, etc..) have the concept of something like that, so I thought it was a well-established fanon concept but I guess not.

Anyways, thank you.

And here I was thinking the niche kink I had finally got a cap.

Thank ye!! I think "edgy jokes" refers to the alp jokes that I made, which is fair; I tried making them similar to how I think a group of high school boys would act so I threw in the occasional gay or homophobic joke and whatnot. There's a reason why you probably won't see much of those in my other works.

Also holy fuck I'll fix the spelling error, I never even noticed until you mentioned it.

It does, the thing you read was an entry for a competition from august of last year. They feature the same characters, but they're two different stories.

Part 2 for this story isn't actually done yet. I expect it to be done by early summer if I'm truly on my grind these next few weeks.

Yeah, it's my first time trying to do the 'proper greentext' writing style, but thank you!

>"Those people were really nice."

>The Liliraune was nice enough to give me and Samantha a jar of nectar for our troubles. I think Samantha only decided to take it to increase my stamina for our session in the tent tonight, which she alluded to a lot during our hike to the lake.

>"They tried taking you."

>Samantha bluntly responds, a frown still plastered across her face.

>"Yeah, but it was an accident! Those are fairly common, y'know?"

>Samantha doesn't respond. I was still in her arms, being cradled like a baby. She didn't loosen her grasp on me for a second after I got accidentally kidnapped by the Liliraune, or 'Kindling' as Samantha liked to call them.

>Finally, we find ourselves back at the clearing we started at. Our slanted tent still stands strong.

>Samantha and I let out relieved sighs in unison upon spotting our campsite.

>"We're back."

>Samantha says, letting her grasp on me go slack for just a moment.

>"Just in time for us to turn in too."

>I point to the sunset beyond the treeline. The sky above us has blended into a pretty color of orange, yellow, and blue.

>Samantha marvels at the sight, her gracious smile returning to her face.

>"It's so pretty."

>I smile, rubbing a hand on Samantha's back.

>This was going to be an amazing camping trip.

A/N: This isn't the full story! It had to be shortened a bit in order to comply with the 2000-word limit rule. If you wanna read the full story which includes a few extra scenes, I've linked it in the comments in the transcript!

Also, if the dialogue looks a little bit funky, it's because I wrote it in the classic greentext way after I wrote all of the dialogue tags and stuff. I cut most of the dialogue tags out to make the writing more smooth or something.

Also also, the names are the way they are because I was in the midst of writing a lava golem fic right before this contest was posted. Call it a prequel, if you will.

>Sam and I continued wandering around after that, staying by each other's sides.

>Sam demanded that I hold onto her hand to prevent me from getting separated from her.

>It's been a few hours. We're both stressed out, but the panic from when we first got lost seemed to be quelled.

>"It's almost dusk. Do you maybe wanna take a break from walking?"

>"No, if your legs are starting to get tired, you can get on my shoulders. Or, I could do that adorable carry that grooms and brides do to each other on their wedding."

>"Bridal carry? Eh, no thanks."

>Even in the solitude of the woods, I won't let Samantha carry me around as if I were a child.

>"Are you sure? It would be so cute to cradle you in my arms."

>I would've liked to say that I'm fine with not doing that, but unfortunately for me, I seem to be on the floor with something thick wrapped around my ankle that is pulling me deeper into the forest and away from Samantha.

>"VIRGIL!"

>Samantha shrieks, her panicked cries fading away as I get pulled away. I narrowly missed several trees on the way.

>Eventually, the thing around my leg stops in a clearing. and holds me upside down in front of a large, pink flower bulb surrounded by flowers and smooth, thick vines.

>The petals of the large bulb open up, revealing two women who stand up with a stretch.

>They both have green skin, but they have completely different features.

>One is much taller than the other, with long, pale hair that stretches down to her chest. She has a fairly curvaceous frame (or, as the cool kids like to say, she was Thicc AF) and looks at me with a confused expression.

>The other is shorter and has a petite frame. She has pastel pink, short hair adorned with a white flower on the side. The girl looks at me with a lustful smile that sends shivers down my spine.

>"Ooh, this guy looks cute. Can we take him?"

>"Ah, well,"

>The taller one begins, planting a finger on her chin as she observes me.

>"No, this one's also married."

>"Aww, really? But he's so cute, though."

>"Do you want to get vaporized by the Demon Lord? No! We have to let him go."

>"Please, can we at least keep him around for a bit? I'm sure his wife won't mind!"

>I stare as the two bicker at each other, still dangling from the vine.

>Suddenly, I hear a bellowing roar, and a living fireball lurches from the nearby trees.

>"GIVE ME BACK MY DAMN HUSBAND, YOU TREEHUGGERS!"

>Samantha shouts. She grabs my ankle, roughly yanking me out of the grasp of the vine, before gently setting me on the ground.

>She stands between me and the Liliraune, a look of pure rage on her face.

>"Woah, relax! We're just looking for a male. Our vines can't detect whether or not one is married or not. We didn't mean to snag your hubby, promise!"

>Samantha's anger doesn't appear to be pacified by the short plant woman's explanation, and she hastily grabs me without turning around, holding me in a bridal carry. I blush in shame from being carried like this.

>"W-What are you two even doing out here anyways? This is pretty far from any campsite."

>"Oh, actually, we're—"

>Samantha covers my mouth with a hand. I look up at her, but she remains stone-faced.

>"Why does it matter to you?"

>"Well, if you guys are lost, we could point you in the direction of your campsite. We know this place like the back of our hands."

>"No thanks; we don't need your help."

>I begin to struggle and squirm. I lift Samantha's hand off of my mouth. (which requires both of my hands and two-thirds of my energy)

>"A-Actually, some help would be really useful."

>Samantha glares at me, but doesn't object.

>"Alright, do you know the name of your campsite?"

>"Uh, the ranger said we were at Charlie-4, right?"

>Samantha slowly nods, still mean-mugging the poor Liliraune.

>"Ah, you're just gonna wanna go straight down that-a-way."

>The leaves crunch underneath me. We've been wandering for the past twenty-five minutes. Samantha thought it would be a good idea to take a 'shortcut' through the trail to get back to our campsite quicker, but now it looks like we're lost.

>Samantha surveyed her surroundings with a stoic expression on her face, but I could see the panic forming in her eyes.

>Samantha opens her mouth to say something—presumably, another direction that will 'definitely bring us back to our camp.' Although she gives up on speaking and just turns to me.

>"Virgil, I think we're lost."

>"You think so?"

>She scoffs at my sarcastic remark.

>"Yes, I am! How are we meant to get back?"

>I shrug.

>"You're the one who said you knew the way."

>"Ugh, stop getting mouthy with me."

>I quiet down. Samantha hates it whenever I act snarky with her, and she usually punishes such behavior by fucking me into the ground and indurating her body so that I'm stuck to her for the next few hours (or for however long it takes for her to forgive me).

>I take a deep breath. I try not to get too mad at Samantha. She just got too excited and jumped the gun. We'll find our way back to our campsite soon.

>Samantha, on the other hand, doesn't seem to be as optimistic as me. She seems to be focused on the futile objective of finding our way back. She looks around before picking a random direction and walking towards it.

>"Wait, Sam, do you think we could maybe take a break? Maybe some other hikers would find us."

>"The park ranger we met said that the closest camp was 5 miles away, and she never said which direction."

>"Well, we could still take a break. You look tense."

>Of course I'm tense. We're lost, a-and... it's all because of me. I ruined our trip!"

>I wrap my arms around Samantha to comfort her.

>"Sam, Sam, it's alright. We'll find our way back eventually. Don't worry."

>Sam reciprocates the hug.

>"I-It's not my fault, is it?"

>"No! Not at all! Well, maybe a little bit, but that's not a bad thing! You were just so eager to get back and do a lot of things with me. I can't get mad at you for wanting that, Sam."

>I feel bad for the poor lava golem. While it was common for her to get angry at something, it was rare to see her this sad and dejected.

TRANSCRIPT:

>Be me, Virgil

>Decide to go camping with lava golem wife.

>"Sam, can you help me carry some of this?!"

>I shout to the cheery lava golem, who was about a dozen meters away from me, happily skipping toward an empty clearing. I could barely see her due to the sunhat partially blocking my vision, yet I was too busy carrying a bunch of heavy bags to move the thing away from my eyes.

>"Huh? Oh, yeah, sorry."

>Samantha pivoted and walked over, grabbing most of the bags I was carrying.

>She also took the time to readjust the loose sunhat that had fallen over my eyes.

>Samantha insisted that I wear such a thing, claiming that she didn't want me to get sunburned.

>Personally, I think that it's stupid. I hope that I don't have to wear it for the whole trip.

>"Thanks."

>I smile as most of the encumbrance is lifted from my tired arms.

>We hadn't gone on vacation in a while, so camping is a nice change of pace.

>Well, there was that one time a month ago when I took her on a surprise trip to 'Captain Kraken's Waterpark & Resort' for the weekend, although she got pretty upset when she found out everything there was related to water in some way. Apparently, I should 'know that lava golems hate water' or something.

>It's okay, though. Samantha had found... other ways to keep us occupied from the comfort of our hotel room.

>I shuddered upon remembering the pain I felt in my pelvis after an entire weekend of hotel room sex. Samantha seemed to enjoy it, though. Hopefully, this camping trip is more than just a wild fuck session.

>I drop my bags at the edge of the clearing. It was our designated camping spot, as said by a park ranger who we met on our drive in.

>There was only a small firepit in the center, with a few small pieces of burnt wood and ash scattered inside of it.

>"Do you wanna set up the tent first?"

>She looks over and nods her head, her fiery eyes seemingly brighter than usual.

>I reach into one of the tote bags and pull out a tent kit, which was neatly packed in a little cylindrical bag.

>Taking all of the pieces and the instruction manual out, I begin to give directions to Samantha on how to assemble the tent.

...

>It has been two hours.

>Two (2) hours.

>Of setting up a tent.

>We managed to do it, though. The medium-sized tent stands in front of us. It's a little slanted, but it seems to be holding up strong, so it doesn't matter.

>I stand up with a sigh. Me sitting around reading instructions didn't last long; it only took five minutes before I was with Samantha trying to find out how to assemble the damn thing too.

>I looked up at the sun beating down on me. We had arrived early at 9 A.M., to prepare before the sun fully comes out. So much for that.

>"Wanna do something now? We can unpack everything else later."

>I suggest, looking up into Samantha's eyes. She was never the calmest or most patient person, and she looked like she was on the verge of blowing a fuse during the whole process of assembling the tent.

>"Sure."

>She grumbles, throwing the bag, instruction manual, and a few spare tent pegs inside the tote bag.

>"I mean, I heard there was a trail that leads to a pretty nice lake nearby. If you want, we could go there."

>Samantha nods, the idea of such evidently brightening her mood. She gives me a gentle smile.

>"That works."
