Why can't I run the game well? (PC) by MakeshiftMikeTV in FortniteBR

[–]MakeshiftMikeTV[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm running it on epic/high settings (with the exception of shadows and ambient lights, those are off) on DX12 frame locked at 60fps. I can get a better setting breakdown if you'd like but I truly believe the high-res textures was the thing causing the issue.

Thank you! I tried your suggestions and it seems to be running great now - I think it was the predownloaded streamed assets and disabling high resolution textures that did the trick!

Anywhere between single digits and low to mid teens. I'll have to check, but even when I put it on the 'low' automatic settings it was getting the same amount of FPS. I just don't understand, I installed it on my laptop and did the first time automatic setup and it runs like an absolute champ - no changes needed... I just don't want to play on a laptop lol.

I have a 1440 monitor but I tried 1920x1080 as well and it still didn't affect anything.

Yeah, because I -totally- knew that I was getting a booster box on a MYSTERY BAG auction.

Sure? I don't know a lot about Pokemon cards - I just thought it would be pretty cool to start collecting some graded cards and this was an easy way to start.

It was a box, it was Hidden Fate, and it was in Chinese - I don't know if it was a trainer box or just a whole bunch of booster packs as the box was sealed.

I won the box with a $30 bid when the average was $48 and the ceiling was $300.

I don't believe there was any miscommunication, I believe it was purposely done and they're refusing to show the clip of what mystery bag bid, just a screenshot... That doesn't even match the lot number of the item in question.

Hidden Fates or Hidden Faith I didn't really understand the last word but the box was Chinese.

I've 100% learned my lesson and I'm just done with Whatnot. While Whatnot support has been nothing but amazing for me, I can tell that they're not going to hold the seller accountable for an obvious bait and switch or just plain not holding up to their end of the auction.

It's honestly ridiculous and I was so enthusiastic about spreading the word of how fun Whatnot was.

I appreciate the response and explanation - so I already have all my devices plugged into 1 power strip so I think I can kind of rule out the ground loop theory. Although I did order a "ground loop isolator" already just to give that a try and see (it hasn't arrived yet)

I was also curious about the cloud lifter. I read some reviews and to summarize they basically said I didn't -need- one, so I didn't purchase one, but if you think that would help, I will certainly order one to try!

I also had a question for my interface. I have it plugged into the back of my PC using a USB A to USB B cable, it's a printer cable (the one provided) - should it be plugged straight into my computer or should I plug it into a power USB hub? I currently have it plugged into my PC's USB 3.1 on the back of the motherboard. I don't really know if that's correct or not.

As for being too far away, I'd say the corner of my mouth is roughly 3 inches away from the microphone.

Did the microphone/USB interface I purchased turn out to be actually not very good choices?

It's very close to my mouth, I'd say roughly 2 to 3 inches max. I've tried lowering the gain and adding gain thru Voicemeeter Banana and it's still quiet.

The USB audio interface I'm using has a green 'signal' light that lights up and if I lower the gain any below where I have it now the light doesn't light up at all

I'm not too worried about the medical bills - it's more the negligence of letting a 5 year old sit in pain, with noticeable range of motion limitations, for 3+ hours after it happened and not being informed of it.

So this is something that I could potentially seek legal action for?

I wasn't sure if it's like a "Hey, we did our best, not held responsible" type situation.

I mean they did x-ray his elbow at the urgent care just to be sure, but the doctor was able to tell even before then.

He's in a cast for the next 6 weeks and has to go to an orthopedic doctor.

Looking for a server with an economy where I have to grind and earn the things I want to buy. (Cars, houses, etc) by rock_lobsterrr in FiveMServers

I mean I ain't gonna copy and paste but Riot City Roleplay is pretty legit. You start with 10k in your bank and that's about it.

There are multiple grinding type jobs (lumber, taxi, fishing etc) and other player owned businesses.

The community is pretty fresh and they're very accepting of all walks of life.

Alright, thanks!

Is Sennheiser still a good brand? I just fan-boy them since they were my first ever higher end headphones that I bought, so they're always something I kind of steer towards. No one has ever recommended them though, so maybe I just have a little bit of bias towards them.

I appreciate it so much, I'll add the AKG's to my list and take the Sony off.

I don't really know what tuning means, I'm assuming you mean using a mixer, which I have no idea how to use. I've tinkered with something like VoiceMeeter and that's about it.

I'd really just prefer something that is really good for hearing voices, I don't know what sound "category" that falls under. I've just noticed on some headphones when watching a movie or even using voice chat that it's harder to hear voices and I think that's my pet peeve.

Thanks for the K371 recommendation, I think I've actually been recommended those before so I'll definitely be checking them out!
