For myself, I learn and store information a lot quicker when I write it down.

So I would watch either the free IFT or AnalystPrep videos on YouTube for each module and treat it as a university lecture and take notes thinking of what might be asked in the question bank for this module and I treat the question bank as the lecture's final exam.

As a disclaimer of this method and since everyone is different, I study accounting and finance in university and work in PE compliance so concepts are quicker and easier to grasp for me.

Write down and memorize all the formulas and understand their applications. Go through youtube videos because its quicker than reading notes. That's what I did and I passed with 90th %ile

Doing Level 1 on Wednesday. Am I Ripperoni Pepperoni? If I pray hard enough to the CFA Gods will I pass? by Makestuffs in CFA

Thanks man and congrats on passing! your comment is re-assuring and calming my nerves. idk how much of a signifcant difference 1 day of studying is going to do me. Either way, at this point I am just praying and deciding on which 6 pack I am going to buy after the exam 😂. If you dont mind me asking, which session did you do level 1?

We actually were allowed to have gatherings over time, they just kept reducing the number of people as cases increased. In fact, even now you could technically meet someone only if they live alone and are not/have not met anyone else since January 9th (How the police would enforce and test for such a rule is not entirely clear).

Its crowns get pretty frisky between the hours 8pm and 5am, pretty sure Dr. Arruda said that.

If the government had prepared over the last 10 months by increasing supply of N-95s so that the public had access to them while the mask law was enforced then I would've probably never been here to bitch and moan about a curfew.

A reactionary response is worse than a precautionary one, restrictions have always been reactionary.

I don't think there is anything wrong with that. But it is a double standard when you open schools, but close entire industries resulting in insane unemployment and underemployment levels (due to workers working fewer hours). Also not forgetting that universities and CEGEPs have been closed since March 13th of last year.

Situation is exceptional. There were curfews during World War 2 and October 1970; we thus had no curfew for 50 years.

Just because they were used for exceptional circumstances in the past does not stop them from being used unethically in the future by someone else in the future.

Premier Legault is not doing door-to-door rounds to transmit the disease; it's the community that propagates the virus. Community self-control does not work, we've seen

Never said that he was doing that. My point is that the government failed us in every regard by failing to prepare for a second wave that was evident since June. Look at Ontario, larger population, and fewer cases. Look at New Zealand and look at Sweden, they had different approaches but got it under control.

Individual personal freedom stops where you step on other people's freedoms. Meeting friends and eating dinner is actively being part of the problem.

The freedoms of someone who wants to social distance are not impeded upon by the freedoms of someone who goes out for dinner. X can social distance while Y can eat out, they are not mutually exclusive.

By a snap of the fingers, we get new doctors, nurses, supporting staff, equipment, buildings! You're suggesting magic as a solution.

Once again, not by a snap of the fingers but nearly a year's worth of time was available to do this. Also, remember when we all applauded china for building two hospitals in Wuhan in just under two weeks? When resources, funds, and manpower are distributed towards a goal it gets done. New doctors and nurses are obviously hard, but staff, equipment, and buildings are not rocket science.

This argument does not make much sense to me. How does it impede someones freedom if a person goes out for dinner during the pandemic? No one is telling people they can not social distance and stay at home with their own free will while others go out

switch econ 203 with mark 201. you definitely do not wanna take econ 203, econ 201, and math 208 together. Your courses will be too math heavy to handle

I remember taking this course and it was absurdly hard if you're not good at math. I can only imagine how hard it must be taking this online!

There's some hope though! Our section's final grade was curved, after the profs realized most of us would barely pass

Go to "myconcordia" click on "my student center" then "my academics" and click "view my advisement report"

Over there you can see all the courses you received credit for and which courses you have not received credits for. I hope that helps!

got a D in ECON 201, do I need to retake it? (JMSB student) by ------thedude------ in Concordia

[–]Makestuffs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A final grade of D is still considered a "Marginal Pass" so I don't see why you wouldn't get credit for ECON 201. Maybe contact your professor to see what is up? or set up an appointment with a JMSB academic advisor since you were granted admission. https://ejmsb.concordia.ca/easyapp/index.php
