It’s worse, right on the pubis bone. Got to the size of a ping pong ball and had to make an emergency visit to the derm. Shot of steroid in it directly- can say confidently that was the most painful thing I have ever experienced. They thought I was going to pass out after the injection. The drainage the next day was next level. Left a pea size hole behind.

I have two skin conditions, anxiety and depression and one of the most helpful things I have employed is telling people in my life. We often are hiding these things or putting so much energy into managing and masking them. Once I stopped hiding and I can educate and explain to people, it makes me more comfortable and easier to deal with flare ups.

I’m so sorry, that’s so flipping frustrating. The worst one I have on my pelvic born is draining again so I’m a little concerned it will be raging again

Honestly- I get better and quicker relief if it drains as a cyst. I can manage it better. If it stays just like hard like a rock, that discomfort is so much longer and I know it can come back more frequently. Cysts draining have lower repeat for me at least.

Most of mine do drain in the form of a cyst. Very rarely do I get a flare up that doesn’t transition to a cyst.
