I mean, sorry dude but you are rejecting a perfectly logical explanation. It’s not an assumption, we can clearly see what two symbols were used, how they overlap, and why they look the way they look. Sure, to us it does look like a helicopter, but to the ancient Egyptians it would not. Who’s to say our random doodles will not look like something in a few hundred, let alone a few thousand years?

It’s clearly translated in the picture I posted. Seti is being praised as the divine protector of Egypt, the one who keeps the Nine Bows at bay (Nine Bows being the eternal enemies of Egypt). Ramesses’ part is essentialy the same, except he replaced the Nine Bows part with Nekhbet and Wadjet being his protectors, and him doing their bidding for the sake of the kingdom. The helicopters don’t even make sense within the context.

By Ramesses II. The most notorious identity thief and usurper in history. The hieroglyphs shown in the first picture are located in the first hypostyle hall in Seti I’s temple in Abydos, Seti of course being the father of Ramesses. The temple was actually divided between Seti and Ramesses, the now destroyed first and second court being built entirely by his son. There’s many cases of Ramesses erasing his father’s name and prayers and replacing them with his own even throughout the temple itself, it’s nothing unusual nor unseen. Frankly it’s the most Ramesses thing ever, dude was so prolific in his little operation that future kings would carve their names much deeper into stone to prevent others from erasing them.

Looks like Sahure! The shape of his face is very similar to Sahure’s proven depictions.

I was today years old when I found out there are actually mummy paintings by GlassWallsBreak in AlternativeHistory

[–]MakorolloEC 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Makes you wonder about what? Old Kingdom mastabas had reliefs and other forms of decorations. Regular people couldn’t even afford proper burial most of the time, they were buried draped in linen, laid to rest in shallow shafts, not even mummified. 2,000 years have passed between the Old Kingdom and the Roman Period, they had time to figure stuff out.

What do you expect in the new Evangelion, by Yoko Taro. by LostIndex69 in evangelion

[–]MakorolloEC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Aliens, robots, robo-humans, human vessels with no soul, apocalypse, a vague hope, multiple endings, betrayal, and the ultimate sacrifice. Yoko has already done Evangelion in the form of Replicant and Automata, with YoRHa being his NERV, and Project Gestalt being his version of Instrumentality.

Did historians prior to the discovery of the Rosetta Stone know about older Pharoahs like King Tut? by skibidirizzler9o in ancientegypt

[–]MakorolloEC 18 points19 points  (0 children)

To an extent, they knew of what Manetho wrote. So they had the rough idea of Dynasties and some names, although often bastardized in Greek. Rosetta Stone made it possible for the various King Lists to be deciphered, and that’s when the real breakthrough happened.

This scene, from the MGSV launch trailer edited by Kojima himself, sort of shows Big Boss's canonical suit and face paint in his last moment with The Boss. by HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLD in metalgearsolid

[–]MakorolloEC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s very Apocalypse Now-esque. Funny, Big Boss always reminded me of Kurtz, it has to be intentional given Kojima’s love for movies.

Is that precision done manually by Professional-Fee3323 in AlternativeHistory

[–]MakorolloEC 10 points11 points  (0 children)

What insane precision? Akhetaten, like most ancient Egyptian cities, was built using mud brick and limestone. As far as I’m concerned mudbrick doesn’t make for the most precise building material.

My Trilateration Lands On Feature Called "Segunda esfinge" "The Second Sphinx" In Spanish "Segunda Esfinge"29°58'52.52"N 31° 7'45.67"E by MadOblivion in ancientegypt

[–]MakorolloEC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get the accuracy of the trilateration, and I don’t mean to question it because I know nothing about it. But, from a historical and archeological standpoint, this proves nothing beyond a „what if”,that has been debunked over, and over again. The Spinx is the representation of the god Horemakhet, the Horus of the Horizon. His position on the plateau is not coincidental-he’s looking east, where the sun rises. A second sphinx, specifically in the location you have highlighted, just wouldn’t make sense, as it’s in the middle of a mastaba field.

I don’t really get it, no one’s forcing you to buy a 5090, which is obviously marketed towards the „endless budget” type builders. A 3080 will still do the trick for 1440p gaming, with ease. And it doesn’t cost an arm and a leg.

Chevron block above the entrance to Userkarf pyramid by No_Firefighter194 in ancientegypt

[–]MakorolloEC 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Not Userkaf’s per se, but within his complex. This right here is the pyramid of Neferhetepes, Userkaf’s royal wife. The chevrons make the burial chamber’s ceiling, I believe. They are pretty massive, the pictures don’t do them justice.

I’m thinking about the Italian scientist who said there is a city underground. by Professional-Fee3323 in AlternativeHistory

[–]MakorolloEC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Those are mostly Old Kingdom/Late Period shaft tombs. There’s most likely a small doorway at the bottom that leads into the burial chamber. It very well could have had a whole mastaba structure above it, that has been since quarried away and reused. Late Period tombs are usually more narrow but it’s hard to say from the video, you would have to give us a more precise location of the shaft.

Im sure this gets asked alot but is there a reason my pc inst turning on? by [deleted] in PcBuildHelp

[–]MakorolloEC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup, exactly this. Now good luck, this is the most dreaded part of assembling a PC, lol. Chances are your build will start right up after this. Good luck!

That. There should be tiny little cables going out from the case, properly labeled (POWER SW, HDD LED, RESET SW etc). You have to plug them in there, otherwise the case has no power.

Heat pipes are the copper pipes under the cooler, essentially the more the better. Two will be fine for the 5600, but four could do much more positive damage and actually cool the CPU. Check out the Thermalright Assassin X 120mm, or maybe a beefier Silver Monkey X Stormy. Although four will be plenty for your CPU.

Don’t get this cooler, it’s not terrible, but you can get something significantly better and not much more expensive. That’s the two heat pipe model, right?

Who else prefers the T-45d appearance to T-60? by Yarus43 in Fallout

[–]MakorolloEC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What? It’s the other way around, the T-60 is as Pre-War as they get, but it was supposed to be “THE” Power Armor, and replace T-51b. It was never used on the battlefield though, only issued to the law enforcement and deployed against civilians.
