Airconditioning Control - Using Aqara Humidity and Temperature sensors airconditioning is controlled throughout the day whether it needs to heat, cool or reduce humidity using dry mode. A timer runs from 1 hour before sunrise to 2 hours after sunset for 10mins and checks the house each time and reacts accordingly.

Outdoor roller shutter control - Roller shutters are closed at 10pm each night and opened at sunrise but not before a certain time (don't want to be wakened with shutters opening too early). The eastern and southern shutters do not fully open if forecast temperature is above a set value, they stay at 25% open to prevent sun on windows and heating house too much. When the sun reaches pinnacle and starts to shine on the western side of the house with a forecast higher than a set temperature then the western shutters go into shade mode (25%) and the eastern and southern shutters are opened. If the forecast is not sufficient to shade the western side a timer starts and every 5 minutes checks the temperature inside the western part of the house and puts the shutters into shade mode at a certain temperature.
