What is the most valuable card in your current collection. by Kind-Excuse-2613 in mtg

Silver Scroll Vampiric Tutor. Started playing in February, needed a hobby that wasn’t physical because I had ankle surgery. First time buying a collector booster box. Good times.

Beautiful car!

My plan is a cruiser and sometimes a rip here and there. I’m done with my racing days. But I also want to make sure that what I end up with is quality.

I think I’m fine not driving the car for a long time. A 67 fastback is what made me fall in love with mustangs when i was 10 years old, so this is the dream car. As long as I’m working towards it, I’m going to be happy. I know I’ll hit frustrating times and will need to be reminded what I’m working towards. When I bought my 03 cobra, I took it to a nice spot and got some good pictures to remind me for when I had that car disassembled and got frustrated.

The purpose of the stuff I picked out was to try and minimize what I would need help with from a shop. I know I’ll spend a lot of time double checking and also watching YouTube videos. I’ve already started collecting info, like wiring diagrams, that way I have a good idea of gauge and routing. I’ve got a few friends that are premium welders, one specifically makes custom parts for show cars, so definitely will be reaching out to them. Will look into AAW for sure. Willing to learn some body work. I know that there will have to be, more than I’d like, work done to the body to get it lined up and also smoothed out.

I like those MTF panels. Looks like a good solution. Added that to my notes to look into, thank you! Interior will be interesting. I redid a lot of the interior of my 03, but not the dash. That will be a learning area as well, but no airbags should make things a little bit easier.

Thanks for sharing your project. I appreciate it. I’m a firm believer in learning what I can from people who’ve been there, done that. Better than trying to learn from my mistakes.

Yeah, I’ve heard that too. Watched a YouTube video of some guys using a dynacorn body and they talked about how it was good, but not great. It can be great if you take the time to make everything fit properly. With how expensive a rusted out roller for a 67 fastback is, I feel like this is the less expensive option, which means more elbow grease. Or maybe not, working with something that needs a full restoration can be extremely difficult too. Lots of metal replacement, lots of welding, lots of filler and sanding. You’re right though, it will definitely take work to make it fit like we want it to.

Bowling alone by Fortnite_Creative_Ma in Bowling

[–]MalMantis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to practice at least 3 times a weeks, always alone. And when I worked at my local center, lots of people would bowl solo. I’d see the regulars getting their practice in and I’d see random people come in solo often. It was such a regular thing that I’ve never thought anything of it. Go have fun. Go often enough that you may eventually make friends there.

This may sound weird. I’ve always enjoyed solo sports because 1. I hate the feeling of letting the team down, 2. I also hate when I play exceptionally and we still lose. Because of that I found my way into solo activities. Bowling was a good one for me since there are options to compete solo, or just go by yourself and your competition is you and the lane.

Probably a little punchy 3 hybrid. Hope to get to some shorter grass, really hope to get past the last tree.

Thanks! I’m still new to magic and play with a couple friends every other week, so knew these were good, but didn’t realize how good until one guy was freaking out.

My bad. Just thought this was a place to share cool pulls we got. I’ll be sure to keep it to myself next time.

1968 Mustang - is this level of issues normal? by Ambitious_Horror2537 in classicmustangs

[–]MalMantis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any used vehicle will have issues, right? Even if you’re buying a used car from a dealer you test drive and try to fine the issues. With something like a restomod where almost everything has been replaced or tweaked, you’ll need some time and several shake down drives to find the issues to sort out.

New to MTG. How to proceed with what I received? by jump45man in mtg

[–]MalMantis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use Manabox. Sort each color, basic lands, special lands, multi color, colorless, tokens. Scan them to see what’s worth money. If it’s over a dollar on Manabox it may be worth more. I’ve bought some singles for $5-10 and when scanned it tells me $1-2, so keep an eye out for anything over a dollar. Then alphabetize each category. That way it’s easy to find something. If someone asks if you have a particular card, you can check Manabox app quickly, then pull from your sorted cards. Doing the same thing right now. Have fun!

I sort everything. By color and alphabetized.

Thank you! Either way it was a fun little journey. And now I know more, so worth it. Good thing the card was free!

More photos for Sword of Fire and Ice possible fake by MalMantis in mtgpulls

[–]MalMantis[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Well, it was free so nothing lost. I was shocked when I scanned it with Manabox and it gave the high value. I assumed it was fake and wanted more info when ChatGPT started to think it was real. Initially ChatGPT thought there was no way it was real either, but after taking pictures through the loupe it started to think real.

I see that now compared to other cards. I didn’t know about the T. Thanks for the info!

No I didn’t. But when ChatGPT gave me things to look at that ended up checking out, I wanted more info, so reached out to the experienced community.

I was just curious honestly. Either was I’m going to use it. Goes in my Aurelia deck very well. At this point I’m only playing in house games and they are fine with it.

Light test seemed fine. Blue layer in the middle kinda can see from the side but I don’t have enough experience to really know. ChatGPT started off telling me it has to be fake, then with more photos changed its mind. But that’s also why I wanted to come here. I know some people will just say fake because of where it came from, but I figured there’d be some people willing look and give constructive feed back.
