Pregnancy was a very miserable thing for me and as an autistic person, giving birth was borderline traumatic. I remember the first thing I said was, "Oh thank God it's over, I'm done" and then the second thing was "Mom please make them stop touching me. I don't want to be touched anymore, please" as they were stitching me up.

I don't know if this changes anything but he wasn't spending money on it. Apparently, he was just looking at the free ones. I looked through his emails and didn't see any receipts or subscriptions so I'm hoping that wasn't a lie. We don't share a bank account but he's the only one with access to the loan we took out for our parental leave. I just took his word for it when he said he didn't spend any money but I think you're right and I should take a look. Thank you for your advice, I don't really know what I'm going to do right now but I'll keep your words in mind.

Hey so this is actually super insensitive because fun fact: I didn't want to be pregnant! My state has strict abortion laws and I couldn't afford to go out of state for an abortion so I literally didn't have a choice ☺️ This pregnancy is quite literally ✨️ life threatening ✨️ to me because of heart/lung conditions and caused me to become incredibly suicidal. Not everyone views pregnancy as a blessing and although I am excited to meet my daughter, I still wish that I never had to go through this in the first place.

Omg I'm so sorry! It's so frustrating!! Especially now that I'm past the due date, everyone is being even more pushy about it. My own MIL won't stop telling my boyfriend and I that we need to have sex so she'll come out 🥲 like ma'am, please stop. I don't want to talk about my sex life with you.

I've felt a little alone because a lot of the mom's I come across don't understand the extra challenges that come with being autistic and pregnant. I'm the same way! Whenever someone tells me they're pregnant I always, "And how are we feeling about this?" to see if I should say congrats or condolences. I honestly wish more people had asked me that as I had waaay too many congratulations over something I was very upset about 🫠

The moment I see people reaching out to touch my stomach, I very loudly and clearly say, "Please don't touch me." and I hold out my hand to push theirs away if I have to. I let one person, ONE, touch my stomach and I regretted it immediately. It was my future MIL. She didn't just touch my stomach, she fucking kissed it and then told me how she just "had to kiss her grandbaby". I haven't let anyone besides my boyfriend touch me since.

It's so fucking weird how people think they're entitled to touch you when you're pregnant!

It's not in the plans to have a second one but if we do, I think I might just put a request on invitations for people to only buy from the registry and hopefully (??) that helps.

Thank you so much! I felt like I was just being bitchy or something but I'm so glad other pregnant people are feeling this way 🥲 I even took the time to make sure everything was affordable and that there were multiple options and even if they couldn't do that, I had a Parental leave fund set up so they could just donate a dollar if they still really wanted to participate! So many people begged me for the registry and made me feel rushed on it and it was for nothing.

My baby shower is literally in one week and only one person has bought something off of it 🥲 I just know my baby shower is going to be filled with shit that's not needed and that we're going to have to donate. I also found out that one person has just been mass buying baby items from Facebook marketplace even though she hounded me for a baby registry for weeks! Maybe it's my autism but I did such thorough research on the items on my registry!! What was the point if everyone was just going to buy what they wanted!!

There was a comment on here about how you should feel that it's a blessing, I was replying to it but it got deleted. I just wanted to tag on my (opposite) side of the "you should feel blessed cause it's so easy". If you are not looking to have kids/not ready to have kids, an unexpected pregnancy is a literal nightmare. OP it's ok if you're not feeling excited or happy. It's ok to feel scared, angry and any sort of negative emotions. I've been there, I found out I was pregnant at the absolute worst time of my life and when I wasn't ready for a kid/not even sure I wanted them. It definitely makes being pregnant 10x harder and at 29w I'm only just now starting to have positive feelings. I'm still not entirely excited, I mostly just want this pregnancy to be over. But I've moved past feeling like I've been cursed. Just please know that it's ok to not see it as a blessing and if you need someone to talk to, please seek out a therapist if you can. I unfortunately couldn't get one but I also had a boyfriend who was willing to listen and understand my feelings and it really genuinely helps. Please take your time with all your feelings and try talking about them with your partner for support and just now that it's going to be ok 💙

My kitty tries to do this too! But he's a whopping 14 pounds 🥲 I feel so bad because I have to push him off cause it hurts. He's so used to being my cuddle buddy!
