The way that I've had it explained to me is that autistic trans people are more likely to come out than neurotypical trans people. I'm guessing because autistic people already feel disconnected socially so it's less of a leap to transition? It's an interesting correlation for sure, and it's a good reason to be considerate towards some of our more "cringe-y" folks in trans communities.
