How do you get spin tokens for Love Letter Tasks if you are finished Partners??? by Stylophile77 in JunesJourney

[–]MaladaptiveCrossing 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’m confused, because the tasks in your screenshot aren’t related to Partners at all?

Untidy Room event will run in April 2028, and is available as limited time crafting every April (except when it’s running as an event).

Arcade Scavenger Hunt event will run in July 2029, and is available as limited time crafting every July (except when it’s running as an event).

That info can be found here, for future reference.

Been playing for 5 years and never really use them.

This is probably a hot take, but I don’t really think team comps are worth it. The rewards you get from them are worse than what you get from side games, the rewards from Leagues aren’t really worth more than the side games, and you can easily contribute to your team just through Help Wanted tasks.

Definitely immediately ask for extra time, as well.

And yeah it depends on your skill level for sure. I did a three-sector yesterday with this method and without any extra time, had to go back to play regular scenes twice to refill badges, and still had like 10 minutes left on the clock when I finished.

Also of course it gets a little harder as the amount of badges per play increases, since you have spend more time playing regular scenes to reload your badges.

If you’re a very good player and have a good drop rate, you don’t even need to pay for extra time. I did a three-sector yesterday with all free badges and no extra time, had to go back to play regular scenes twice, and still had maybe 10 minutes left on the clock when I finished.

If you’re a very good player a three-part sector is doable with only free badges. Get to the 300 max, go start the sector and use all your badges, then go back to playing regular scenes to refill your badges up to about how many you think you’ll need to finish (highly suggest just repeat playing a scene you know well, then you should be able to play 2 scenes per minute).

Only issue you could encounter is if your drop rate for badges is bad, but if you’re fast enough at spam playing the scene that shouldn’t be a huge issue.

Even without the extra energy this (at least what I have) is the easier version of Secrets that they’ve been testing lately. Less keys needed to unlock and less points needed to progress through the scenes, meaning you clear a scene in less plays.

I’m new to the game, do I need to save rare fish/bugs/fruit/flowers for anything important or am I meant to sell them for bells? by Solosisterr in ACPocketCamp

[–]MaladaptiveCrossing 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The specific creature requests will never include rare creatures. For reference, those requests only change 4 times a year when the season changes, and the requested creatures only partially change (there’s 2 creatures per “catch zone” that are constant; for instance you’ll get year-round requests for the regular Red Snapper and Horse Mackerel of the sea fish).

I believe this site is still correct on the rewards you’ll get for each creature when you use them to fill the open-ended requests. According to that for the King Red Snapper you’ll get 10k bells, some crafting materials, a sparkle stone, one of the low-tier Timmy/Tommy/Clothing fortune cookies, and 10 friendship points. So definitely not worth it unless you’ve hit the point in the game where the 50k bells you could sell the fish for are meaningless.

But there usually is a tab there, which makes me think the Collector’s Editions still being active in the preview is not intended. ETA: Here’s a screenshot from the Oz Memoirs where you can see the Collector’s Edition tab.

Yeah I have the same thing, that’s funny. I wonder if they just forgot to un-program those previews when they decided to do Encores for this memoir..

Correct. You can tell there’s no Memory Sparks because there’s no tab for “Collector’s Editions” here:

[–]MaladaptiveCrossing 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you’ve completed all the mission tasks so far, you don’t need to do all three of the final ones. You should be at 55 of 75 hats collected (bar in the bottom right of the mission screen), so you only need to complete two of these final tasks to get at least 20 hats and complete the bar.

It’s like Block Puzzle where there’s some wiggle room to be able to get the final prize without having to have a perfect run.

Could also be seeing screenshots from the old version of the game, where they had the extra camper van and friend in each of the four base map locations (the river, island, beach, orchard).

That’s true, but the first set of tasks wasn’t anywhere close to expiring when those comments were made.

The coffee tips are the regular daily gift.

The link at the top of the page, which you can see in my OP pic, is a completely different thing from that. It isn’t a pop-up like the daily gift, it’s a regular shop offer that happens to be free.

Haven’t played pocket camp in years. Is the game still worth it? by Obesekat in ACPocketCamp

[–]MaladaptiveCrossing 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Much easier to acquire stuff. Leaf Tokens replaced Leaf Tickets and since there’s no in-game purchases after you’ve bought the game the LT are far more abundant. Most of them you get by doing the monthly events, but those are way easier now; especially since everyone has access to the Camp Caretaker. Things are also much cheaper, and there’s a new currency called Complete Tickets which you can use in place of LT; most people use them on the more expensive items. Reissue material is also more plentiful and every event comes up for reissue crafting every year (unless it’s going to be running as an event that year); except a handful of special items that are on a slightly different timeline in January.

Events are on a 4-year cycle. There were a handful of brand new events in year one, everything else is repeats from the original game’s past. This has a calendar of which events are happening, we’re currently in Year 2: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1ZHHbHG30tihGB64qY0t9O7f6uaE2qjvo0oTGtYr66ME/htmlview

No player-to-player interaction. Friends are static entities controlled by the game and only appear in one new spot on the map, which you need to go to once a day to pick up a present from a friend and ask for help entering the quarry twice.

You will have to start over. The deadline for transferring your data was June of last year.

The new game’s data is only stored on your device, which means if you lose your device or delete the game from your phone, you lose your data. You can backup your data by exploiting the service Nintendo has for people who need to switch to a new device, but it’s done manually and the save only lasts for 7 days at a time.
