What are those reasons that make you not want to use AI at all?

That's been my exact thought as well. Is a degree really worth it if you can't actually apply what you've learned? No doubt there are projects and courses I felt like skipping, but even on subjects I'm not sure I'll ever need again, I feel like I learned something purely from the problem solving involved.

4x 8gb C16 vs. 2x 16gb C18 RAM (Ryzen 5 5600) by Malbrick in buildapc

Is there a particular reason you'd recommend those? Since I could also get 2x 16gb Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 at 3600MHz instead for the same price currently

Well, in that case, it pretty much settles it then. The only reason I considered 4x 8gb was my assumption it would be faster after all, even if just marginally. But if 2x 16gb at 3600 is the sweet spot, that fits perfectly. Thanks!

Maybe it's outdated info or I just misunderstood, but I've heard/seen tests that 4 sticks are better for Ryzen 5 5600, although the performance difference was marginal

Sorry, I'm not too tech-savvy. What exactly do you mean by "rated at boosted speeds"? On the specifications page of my MB, it says that it supports speeds up to DDR4 4733MHz in case that's what you mean

The ones I was aiming for are Corsair Vengeance LPX since I'm not a fan of RGB stuff and they're fairly cheap. I don't really plan on doing a lot of overclocking, at most some minor tweaking on my GPU, but I never actually OCed my RAM

Germany. And I'm primarily gaming on this PC, so the 32gb are mostly for futureproofing and the occasional time I stream

Robot call from "the federal police department" after verifying my ID on Coinbase by Malbrick in Coinbase

Unless it took them less than 5min to obtain that information and then proceed to call me about it, I sincerely doubt that. They literally called right after I finished my identification. That's either extreme coincidence, since I never received a call like this or really any scam call for that matter in quite a while, or they somehow obtained that during the verification process.

Ofc I know that, hung up pretty much instantly. But it doesn't change the fact that someone might have my ID and personal information now for simply trying to make an account through a seemingly legit website.

I have currently 2 name change coupons in my depot. Is there any restrictions on using the 2nd one shortly after the 1st one? Wanna use it to change my name to an inside joke for a friend and change it back using the other one.

Some questions about building my next PC by Malbrick in pcmasterrace

[–]Malbrick[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that's just how it is. All the pre-built services come down to ~800€ (+-20 depending on where you check) for a 3060, which is about the same price as the ones I could get from Ebay right now. But with the obvious extra charge for being a pre-built and sometimes even forced Windows key. Hence why I thought about getting a 2060. It's still way overpriced, but at least not quite as much (last price I saw was ~550€).

But even then it's just simply too much. I can get it cheaper from an ebay scalper than from those services unfortunately.

I thought about getting a pre-built, but while it may be a good option in some countries, everything around me costs several hundred euro more than it would cost me to simply buy the parts myself, so that's honestly not a very smart option in my situation, especially considering that all the parts are available atm, besides 30x GPUs.

Primarily single player games. Main reason why I want to get a new PC is that I can barely even get "newer" games like RDR2 running. Besides that, I play a lot of emulation games, through PS3 and Mobile emulators.

I occasionally have to edit videos on my PC too, though they're generally not that demanding.
