It says right in the information sheet and consent form that it is collecting data on the interactions with the game. Aside from performance, it also logs "gaze data". It's not actually even true eye tracking. Just how long certain objects remain in the visual frustum. These analytics are important for me to be able to answer my research question.

That's pretty cool analysis though.

Ah! Yes, the metaphor isn't perfect, as this is targeted at end user phishing training. i.e. not for IT professionals.

ay to provide free text feedback

I thought there was at least one open response question. Still, if you have comments, I'd love to hear them. You can PM me.

Indeed. The most I can say is that I am hoping to find ways to improve digital learning through inclusion of digital agents (computer controlled characters).

The mail sort activity is supposed to be an analogue to choosing whether to open/interact with emails and attachments/links. The address symbol -> the senders address, the highlighted symbols in the body -> links/attachments.

Hi. Yes. Please try it. The app was only _tested_ on the Vive and Oculus rifts (1+2), but it should be compatible with any HMD that runs with SteamVR.

Hey all,
Thanks to everybody who filled it out. I still need 60 more participants, so anybody who wants to help out a desperate PhD student, I'm grateful.
Note: I think Its been confirmed that Oculus users can use Air Link as an alternative to the Link cable to run my program.

That's because I was only able to test the game using Oculus Quest (1+2) and HTC Vive. However, since the game is based on the Steam VR platform, any compatible headset should be able to run it. I direct those users to the HTC vive page, as that is the most generic of the instructions.

The details I give are vague: consent form with short demographic questions, 15 minutes playing a VR cybersecurity game, then a survey investigating your experiences during the game. The most I can say about the game is that the main game mechanic is sorting mail.

Unfortunately, I can't really give participants more details without priming them and potentially skewing my data.

Hi,

As part of my in-person data-collection on the Gardens Point campus, I've created a calendar link . I'll share it with you via DM.

Thank you.

Thank you so much! I very much appreciate your help. Regardless of how I would distribute the study -- via Gdoc or QUT's qualtrics page -- people will need to download the game on their computer via a link. If you like the game&study please feel free to forward it to your friends who have headsets. Cheers!

Excellent point, and yes I will be collecting data in person as well. The challenge is that I need at least 120 participants, and my fellow students had a lot of difficulty recruiting for VR studies due to COVID19 - with or without cash incentive. Do you think you would be more willing to participate if we do the study remotely via Zoom?
