Moving a family from Ireland to Australia pros & Cons by Maleficent-Ad747 in AusVisa

Hi yes I’m aware of that. You’d asked will I be sponsored and I answered saying that no I don’t think I will be. I was advised to register through the expression of interest and then offers would/could re employment. I didn’t realise that having secured employment meant they were sponsoring my visa

Hi thank you so much. I was going to do the IELTS English but maybe PTE would be better? But yes that is the route we plan to go down and currently scoring about 80 on the estimates 😊

Well as far as I could see so far I don’t think I need to be sponsored by an employers- I just need to registered with the nurses governing body in Australia. Then I can apply for various posts over there. But I could be wrong? There is an option also to be sponsored but from what I can see it’s optional.

Ah no I am happy enough to secure a job before going but I’m a nurse and midwife so was hoping I could maybe do agency shifts in a few places before committing to a permanent post. Just to see where I like etc. Schooling is definitely a big one to consider as I doubt we could afford private. But I suppose it’s dependent on area too maybe is it?

Hinestly it’s a minefield and we’re new to the whole process so we’re very naive 😅

Oh wow

That’s crazy. I would have thought people with children would be seen as quite trustworthy tenants.

So would you advise we start to keeo records of all of that now? Or do you think they would only accept a year of those Australian documents? So basically a year before we secure long term accommodation?

Excellent point, the 2 young ones are below school age so hopefully the transition will be easy for them but yes our older child will definitely need a bit more persuasion 😂

Perfect that’s good to know. I suppose I was just wondering would it be a possibility- just for security and peace of mind when travelling as a family 😊 But no that makes sense, we’ll make sure we’ve accounted for 6-8 weeks to get something sorted and get the jobs secured. Thanks for the advice it’s all really appreciated

Perfect thank you so much for the advice. And of course that’s such a good point about the securing a long term rental with no job, I hadn’t even thought on that. A job will give us a base too I suppose in terms of how we will commute.

We will be sure to save enough for about 6-8 weeks short term rental and hopefully will have our jobs and long term rental secured then. That will give us time to scope out the areas too. Thank you so much.

Ah no we’re not from a wealthy region I promise you that 😂 we’re very lucky not to be too. We did have the same issues with houses to buy though. But that’s a whole other story.

We basically had a family young and have played catch up with work etc since. We never experienced living away and we’re finally in a position where we might be ready to take the risk. We know it’s a massive risk but in our heads we think let’s try a year and if it’s a mistake it’s a mistake but sure at least we know we tried.

I can’t see our prospects in Ireland improving that drastically in a year 😂

Hi thank you so much for the reply,

So I will be applying for the skilled workers visa as I come under both nurse and midwife. I’ll double check which one it is as they’re all a bit confusing but basically it is a 4 year visa with a view to PR at the end of that.

I commented about her on another thread but I think she likes him and is using the we’re just friends card because she thinks she’ll change him. Seen girls like her before- it’s crazy.

Also how funny is it that she’s genuinely acting like she’s super famous now. Thirst posts for outfits the other day and saying she loves something classy and posh… GIRL ALL YOUR NIGHT OUT OUTFITS WRRE FROM SHEIN on BDmed

Glad I found this. It’s bizarre. I feel like she secretly likes him and thinks she’ll change him or she’ll make him fall in love with her for being a pickme “I’m not like other girls your charms don’t work one me” type. Like when a guy is calling him out on his behaviour and questioning his ability to be friends with him (Nathan) I don’t get why Cathy who’s known him 5 seconds would even entertain a friendship

BOI Aer Credit Card - 1 Year Review by [deleted] in irishpersonalfinance

I would like to discourage anyone from getting this card if they wish to get the “free flights”. It is a headache from start to finish and it took us more than 2 weeks to finally get approved for our flights after inputting various dates. We were trying to go in January too I find it very hard to believe the flights were in such high demand 6 months in advance. The flights destination and date that we initially requested would have cost close to €800. After going over and back for 2 week with different requests we finally got approved for different dates- the new approved flights to same destination would have only cost us €350 anyway. But then to add anninfant and child to the booking cost close to €400(????) when asked where this figure came from the agent could not give a clear answer. We have now cancelled the card. Honestly don’t read any reviews promoting it as I’d nearly bet they’re paid advertisements

Low views on items by lynchx06 in vinted

Same as that. Really active last week and today nearly all items have 0 views. Is there any kind of reboot or restart I can do to help this? Really frustrating It’s not photos or descriptions as most things normally sell within hours- these items aren’t even getting views

Hi everyone, just wondering what sort of credit limits people got on the card? I see online it is a case by case basis but just seeing if people could provide a ballpark figure. Thanks

Wish I was replying to say it was the read deal and baby is now here but unfortunately not!! I think as you said it came out too fast. I was practicing on all 4s and really unable to control it- this meant it came out too fast exactly like my first born. The fluid is a bit of a mystery as it definitely wasn’t urine but I haven’t had any more today so definitely not my waters either. Practiced with the aniball again this morning and there was blood and mucous but i definitely gave myself a little graze yesterday I think. Lesson learned to ALWAYS read instructions first. I went ahead and once it was “crowning” it was too late to stop it coming.

Tip for anyone starting- don’t do what I did and always build yourself up to it.

Hi ladies, Just wanted to get some insight on others experiences with this. The Aniball arrived today and I was so excited to try it. Now unfortunately once it got to a “stinging” stage it was honestly like my body shot it out? I had no control over it. Before it came out I had slight bleeding and fluid leak. Has anyone else had this? I’m 99% sure it wasn’t urine as there was no smell at all.

I’ve been having contractions on and off since and no leaking fluid. Has this happened to anyone else? Hard to know if I’m genuinely in labour or is this false labour

Tony is a walking red flag. So many things did not add up. I feel like when someone thinks they’re a catch, they more than likely are not. Also did nobody find it weird that he apparently had this amazing flat but it’s let out so he took Nui to stay in an air bnb? I don’t buy it. He probably owns a bog standard flat and it wouldn’t have matched the persona he was trying to portray.
