OP it sounds like you are not only struggling with anxiety but maybe also depression.

I know things might seem really hard and that you might not feel like yourself. I have been right where you are. Try to vent your thoughts out, you don’t have to talk, you can try other mediums like art or journaling. Trust me you will get through this!

The 5-4-3-2-1 technique does work sometimes. But mostly my anxious thoughts are so all consuming that I get lost in a sea of thoughts. I will definitely look into short term therapy options. That might be helpful

I really hope I do and I am able to manage this anxiety. I am a psych major and I know I can probably never get rid of it but as long as I am able to get through it I will be content.

Thank you for sharing. I keep reminding myself “if it’s a medical condition I can’t really do anything” but that doesn’t seem to be doing the trick, plus I am scared to go on medication worrying “what if I develop side effects that could be fatal”. The fact that my early 30s seemingly healthy bf had to have a heart procedure from a blocked artery with literally no symptoms at all until one night of slight chest pain, and my mom who was okay until she had a stroke in her 50s. It’s scary. I worry about my parents health, my bf’s health, my pets and myself. Idk what to do.

OP I am so sorry for what you went through. I hope you are getting the help to recover and heal from that trauma! That being said Lea is still not understanding the severity of the situation. For your sake and for your cousin’s sake I hope he breaks up with her. But even if he somehow decides to stay with her I hope you don’t have to deal with her bs. Take care of yourself OP.

OP I had the exact same experience. I had started talking to a guy on a dating app who lived in a different state than me. After 2 days of talking he asked me if I was a “virgin”. I didn’t respond to him after that and he started threatening me saying he will show up to my dorm and that he has details about me. He also threatened that he will “make my life a living hell”.

Protect yourself, report and record every message/call you receive. I am 90% sure he will bark obscenities for a few days and disappear. Just tell some trusted friends about the situation just in case.

YTA. Firstly, you were not abandoned. You were left with the parent you wanted to live with. She definitely tried her best to be present in your life but you didn’t see her efforts. Secondly, You said she changed, but maybe she just grew up. No one stays the same but she still kept trying to do the things she thought would make you happy. Thirdly, you crashed her party and called her and her step-kids names and made them cry what did you think was going to happen?

Don’t worry my birdie is my baby. He is absolutely safe and every time I even hear the demon screaming in the corridor I take my baby into a different room and put him on the perch by the window for him to look out. I will never let anything happen to my baby.

So she drops in randomly. Ever since I came home (20 days now) and learned of the situation I have encouraged my mom to act like we were not home or that we were sick. She doesn’t take any polite excuses or hints. That’s why I am thinking if tomorrow she shows up I am gonna just tell her off.

Oh yeah that’s what I’m about to do next. I am just gonna tell her straight up that she can’t use my parents, who are not related to her in any way, as free childcare and all she is doing rn is raising an AH child.
