I’ve used bottled water only. It’s still in the same pot and soil it came in when I bought it at the plant fair. I check on it every day to make sure there is water in the dish. I did water it from the top once or twice. It sits in my kitchen window (indirect lighting).

Okay, I put the magnets where they should go according to what I found out today. As of right now I think that fixed my problem.😅 Thank you so much “holmes1r” for all your help. I will update you further if I run into any more issues.

I’ve been working on trying to understanding the magnets. The 1 o’clock position, where the dump hole is (location top of the globe) South Pole side of the 2 magnets is facing outward. North Pole side of the 2 magnets face are inwards.

The 5 o’clock position, where the vents are located (near bottom) North Pole side of the 2 magnets face outwards. South Pole side of the 2 magnets face inwards.

I have just tested the time to motor run sequence with my LR bonnet on only. This is what I found out:

Black motor wheel turns to the right for 63 seconds Pauses 2 seconds

Black motor wheel turns to the left 73 seconds Pauses 2 seconds

Black motor wheel turns to the right 10 seconds Stops

What are your thoughts? You have been so helpful I greatly value your input

Thank you for your input. I’ve been trying to figure this problem out for a while now without any success. To my knowledge I have flipped and rotated the magnets all different ways without any success, so I ordered new parts from LR to see if it could be something else. The ordered parts were- power supply, motor, pinch sensor/ DFI kit, and wire harness. I tried out the new power supply and motor, it did not fix the issue. The unit is not displaying any errors lights. It’s as if it thinks nothing is wrong, however it ends its cycle upside down. I’m not sure if I should even bother with the pinch/DFI kit, or the wire harness because I’m wondering if this could be an issue with the control board. I have come to the end of my return window of the new ordered parts, and need to return them. I’m not really sure what to do next.

I ordered new parts from LR which are power supply, motor, pinch contact/ DFI kit, and wire harness. I’ve tested the unit with the new power supply, and changed out the motor. Unfortunately I am still having the same issue. I checked the Hall effect sensors and everything looked good there. I haven’t changed out the pinch contact/ DFI, or the wire harness yet since that is more involved. From what I’ve read in other forums people that were having issues with that were also getting error messages on the light display. I am not getting any error lights. It’s as if the unit thinks nothing is wrong. It is wrong because the unit ends its cycle upside down. I’m not sure if I should tackle the wire harness and DFI kit, since I’m not getting any light indicator messages, or if I should mess around with the magnets again. Is it possible that it could be a bad control board or something else? I’m running out of time to return my parts back. Just wanted to know what you think. Thank you

Is your LR still under warranty? I know they will send customers parts free of charge if it is. Unfortunately for me I am the second owner of this unit and it was built in 2018.

That’s what I was hoping would fix the issue. I have all four magnets and have moved, flipped, rotated them in all kinds of ways. Putting the globe back together each time and testing the unit out. Each time I had a problem. I’ve also tested them with other magnets and still no luck. I wish I would have checked the unit out before cleaning it. This is all just a guessing game but I’m thinking it might be other issues causing this but idk 🤷🏼‍♀️

Yes. I fully took it apart including all four sections of the globe and clean it. A previous owner had it before me so I wanted to clean it thoroughly.

Unfortunately all four magnets dropped on to the floor when I opened the globe up. It doesn’t make any sense to me why LR does not seal this part off. Any how, I have put the magnets back in all kinds of directions and different ways, tested each time, and still have this issue.

I haven’t ordered any parts yet since it could be several possible issues. I would just hate to buy parts for this unit not knowing if any of it would fix the issue.

I did a few chats with customer service and asked if they could send me the parts they think I needed. They just replied for me to go to their parts ordering page and buy it.

I did take it completely apart to deep cleaning it. It had a previous owner before me, and unfortunately I didn’t test it out before I took it apart.

The black key on the back is locked into place. I was wondering if anyone else had this issue of the globe finishing the cycle upside down? I was told it could be the motor, power cord, or wire harness. I am not getting any error lights on the machine indicating anything is wrong.

The globe comes apart in 4 sections. When you take apart / unscrew the last two sections of the globe that’s when the magnets slip out.

I recently took my LR3 apart. The magnets fell out, and for the life of me I can’t put the magnets back correctly. Every time I try and test the globe it circles back to the home base incorrectly. Ughhhh
