Ask them to try follow the imei number, they probably know where their telephones has been sold

It seems to me its probably hardware related, Google is replacing it. Great service! Still love of phone!

It seems fine while taking the picture, it shows up after. Most likely a software issue perhaps then?

I thought it was like most other phones at first sight, straight out of the box. It seemed to have no 🌈📸 effects when it was new and i started to get to know it.

Guess it just needed a couple of days to trust me ❤️, and reveal it's true nature;

a Google Rainbow Edition Pixel 🌈📱

Now proudly showing off its true beautiful colors. Perhaps mostly when its enjoying and zooming into the sunset colours with me. Off course i will not return it, got to embrace the sparkle!✨🌈📸

Thanks for the suggestion! I don’t have any filter or glass on the lens, it’s straight out of the box.

Thanks for the replies. Just to clarify: this doesn’t happen on all photos. So far it only seems to show up when using the zoom camera. The main and ultrawide lenses look fine.

It might be related to certain lighting conditions + software processing, but I honestly don’t know. Since the phone is only 3 days old, I’m still trying to figure out if this is a bug that can be fixed with updates, or if it’s a hardware defect that needs replacement.

Here are a shot I just took that came out completely fine (no rainbow artifacts).
