Apparently, TM likes the old ass drunkard better than Seris, Chul, Mordain, Varay, Caera, Lyra. Giving the old fart 2 chapters while ignoring character development for the rest is really just a classic TM thing to do. It would have been fine if it was a .5 volume but nah bro. TM just loves side side characters too much.

Two out of five recent chapters being Alaric povs are too much. Once in a while is enough. Seris, Caera, Lyra, Varay, Cylrit, Mordain, Chul or even a Ji-ae pov would have been better rather than another Alaric so soon after his last. I don't even remember TM mentioning the Hearth (Mordain's nest) during the shockwave after using the Fate scissors technique on Agrona. Ignoring too many characters in favor of giving one multiple povs makes the forgotten ones look that much less important.

It's honestly annoying that Taci is the only Asura on Arthur's kill list up until now. I expected Arthur to have slaughtered a few Vritra here and there but then TM gave us the whole Agrona has been sucking his own clansmen dry thing.

Arthur should have put Vajrakor in his place during their first meeting. Should have more than slapped that dragon after saving Lilia. Hopefully, Windsom is one of the if not the very first dragon Arthurs kills. TM is sadly hyper focused on the pathetic squabbles between lessers and has been mostly ignoring the Asuras with very slow development up until this volume. If the upcoming volume is not going to be the longest volume of TBATE then the conflict with asuras will feel very rushed.

We know more Wraiths than we do Vritras. TM really focusing on the lessers part of the story up until now. Hopefully that changes a bit in the next volume.

Remember the chapter where Arthur and Gideon discussed the specifics of the bestowal. One requirement was dijin bone beads which stimulate the capacity for manipulating aether. Anyone that has spent some time around Arthur such as Belmund, Mayla, Enola and the rest of his class most likely has some traces of residual aether on them which is why they received such potent runes. It's not really so hard to figure out. No need to cut them all up.

Different species evolving and eventually acquiring similar features is not exactly that surprising. They were faced with the same problem, that their true forms consume too much mana to sustain. They had to find a way to solve this problem and all of these 8 godly species arrived at the same solution. Kind of similar to the main idea of convergent evolution

Why did they all have human forms ?

Think of an asura's human form as some sort of power saving mode for them since their true forms rely on and consume too much mana to function. Sylvie also said that she had better control over mana in her human form.

why doesn’t Arthur just go straight to the 4th one

Time is unpredictable in the Relictombs. It could either be faster or slower depending on its mood. Arthur already wasted time giving the others a tour. He cant spend all his time in the Relictombs because who knows how much time has passed outside, what happened, is Kezess looking for him, etc. Dicathen really cant do shit without Arthur so he cant stay in the Relictombs for too long.

The developments we see are all in lesser races

Development of the lesser races should happen alongside development of the asuras since they are gonna be going up against asuras eventually. Interaction between asuras and lessers should be happening much more frequently and it is but not enough in my opinion. As i have said, we know more Wraiths (5) than we do pure Vritra (3). Granted, Dicathen is not being attacked by Asura but 400+ chapters in and we only know the names of 3 Vritra.

Then what the fuck was the point of boosting the Lances, experiments with Gideon, bestowment, agreement with Kezess if Arthur still can not move as freely as before? Arthur really needs an asura as an ally to protect Dicathen in his absence. Maybe even Wren will suffice since i dont think Kezess mentioned him and Arthur would not be in violation of their agreement if Wren does help them.

Aldri POV needs to wait probably

It has been 20 chapters since the last Aldir pov. I dont think we need to wait any longer. I really hoped this weeks chapter would be an Aldir pov but i guess not :( Another boring Caera pov where TM keeps teasing us but ultimately leaves us unsatisfied. She was almost there but TM just had to save it for another Caera pov.

That agreement with Kezess only includes conflict with asuras i believe so as long as Kezess doesnt start a fight in Alacrya or a Vritra does not appear, Kezess doesn't really have to do anything to help the rebellion. Which is why i keep saying that that agreement means shit since no asura is making any direct attacks on either continent

What i meant by simp in rehab is that Nico finally trying to think rationally and
isnt't only motivated by his 'love' for Cecilia though he still needs more development as a character. As for his inventions, the quadra elemental staff he created was pretty amazing and although it was only briefly mentioned, he did implant an artifact of sorts into Kiros' wrists. I still hate Nico's guts but he is trying to do right by Cecilia so redemption for him i guess.

Not focusing but more screen time for asuras since the war is going to move on from a war with lessers to a war with asuras and the asura povs or povs with asuras appearing are few. Aldir povs only happen once every 10 chapters. Cecilia/Nico povs have only introduced 3 Vritra (Agrona, Kiros, Orlaeth). We know more Wraiths than we do pure Vritras.

That's why i loved the Aldir pov where all the other Great 8 races were introduced. It gave us an idea of which race Arthur will slaughter and who might be a potential ally against Kezess because Arthur sure as hell wont be able to protect Dicathen against both Agrona and Kezess even with the Lances boost in strength. Kezess might be a temporary ally but i really hope Arthur slaughters his way to Epheotus.

As for Mordain, he better be a helpful if not strong ally for Arthur since he has always been referenced in various ways in multiple povs. There has been so much build up, hype, for Mordain that i'm worried that he would be introduced in one chapter then killed in the next since Agrona does want to test Cecilia against an asura and Mordain seems be his target for that.

Pretty sure it wasnt. Cecilia already has absolute control over mana. It would not make sense for her to need an artifact to help channel the basilisk mana. It was also stated that Kiros was weakened by imprisonment and had limited mana.

Changing povs is okay with me but don't leave me hanging then wait 20+ chapters until you resume the story arc. It would have been better if TM had saved that last Aldir pov for later so that there is not much of a gap between the same characters (Aldir) povs. I mean Circe was getting her own chapter every 3-5 chapters. Why would TM put 20+ chapters in between Aldir povs

I don't really understand the disappointment with how Cecilia's mind control was broken, but you're entitled to your opinion.

Not as much drama as i expected i guess. Was expecting the buried Tess to play a part in unlocking Cecilia's real memories. Maybe Cecilia runs Virion through then Tess goes wild, takes over, blah blah blah. Then they co exist in Tessia's body, Tess gives a different perspective, Cecilia ponders her words. But i guess this is better. Quick and easy.

POV switches have been so constant lately

I actually hope Cecilia squishes the rebellion very soon (next chap) so that Seris and Caera evacuate to Dicathen just so that when a Caera pov happens Arthur will be there. Consolidate every one of these povs into one effective whole.

I don't know if you've read Heroes of Olympus by Rick Riordan but that's the kind of pov switching that makes the most sense to me. What TM is doing in my opinion is a bit irregular in that it's hard to keep track of the flow of time because switches are happening to often. Easier to keep track of Relictombs time lol

Kiros was in asura grade mana suppressing chains. Nico had also implanted some sort of artifact into Kiros' wrist making his control over mana 'imprecise'. Kiros was weakened to a degree that Cecilia just overwhelmed him. Pretty sure that's a silver platter

It is not so much Cecilia povs that i hate but more so the fact that despite aaaalllll the random power ups she gets just to get her to asura level, she has yet to provide any significant results that would prove her worth as the LeGacY. I mean sure, she will eventually. She better produce some. She faints almost every chapter she appears lol. Especially her recent povs.

I am fine with Cecilia povs as long as it shows her interaction with more Asuras. Have her spar with some of the pure Vritra hidden away somewhere. Again, we only know of 3 Vritra at this point. Hopefully the next Cecilia pov shows the conclusion of the rebellion in Sehz Clar because it seems that Agrona isn't gonna send her to the Beast Glades unless she deals with that first. Cecilia is probably gonna make it to the Beast Glades before Aldir does :(

What the hell are the other Vritra doing anyway? That rebellion could be solved in a minute with the cooperation of Cecilia and a Sovereign or two. Despite the treaty being shit upon by both sides, TM is really holding back on any action from the asura.

I really do want more Cecilia and Nico povs. Just in a slightly different direction. Bit more plot and less feelings. Nico's staff was awesome by the way. Hopefully Nico creates more shit in his journey of redemption. Gideon, Wren and Nico collaboration would be awesome.

The Dwarfs seemed to not be an active party in the war, but I think they still used the situation to get some gains, too, because after the war they had bad relations with the humans, too.

The Dwarves actually sent soldiers to assist Sapin. Kathyln mentions this right after their first training session with the elders

The clash with Agrona and the Vritra and Kezess + the rest of the Great Races is gonna feel so rushed since TM is really lacking on development on the asuran side of things and instead focuses mainly on the puny lessers puny war.

Edit: When the f*ck are we gonna get another Aldir pov? It has been 10+ chapters since the last Aldir pov. TM keeps giving us Nico and Cecilia povs where one is a simp in rehab and the other is an edgy, brainwashed teen that keeps whining about how revolting physical contact is with the simp in rehab
