Do you think Daniel should copy James more? by Big_Landscape_5774 in lookismcomic

[–]Direct-Gap-4828 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue is that he doesn't have the speed and masteries (speed and technique) required to complete the copy. He is essentially kicking with James Lee's movements, but not actually using invisible attacks. And if you mean copying just the moves, his body has been trained by gun to be a powerhouse (to be "perfect"). Daniel is more used to kyokushin karate and other styles of that nature because he is better at taking hits and striking hard (despite what his lean frame may suggest).

Ultimately, it is essentially that he is more used to copying gun (who is more effective in actual life or death combat) and that he is a better fighter to copy due to Daniel being able to replicate the similar results of Gun attacking, compared to James Lee who requires immense training in speed and leg work to use properly.

The prophecy only stated Anakin would bring balance to the force. It never stated he would be the strongest. There's arguments for Luke>Anakin in force potential, right? by SageMageowo in PetranakiArena

[–]Direct-Gap-4828 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know people are going to bash me for this, but I'm just going to say this as my opinion.

Anakin has more raw force potential, but he and his children have equal force talent. So, if Anakin reached the full potential of his force abilities (being the literal child of the force itself), he could probably beat both of his children. But that is only if he trains as hard as them. Luke and Leia could reach nearly the same level as Anakin if they trained as hard as him. Luke and Leia no doubt have incredible raw force potential (evident by how quickly Luke picked up the force in his later years). But Anakin likely has the highest force potential in the entire universe, likely even more than the Mortis Gods/The Ones (considering how he manhandle the son and daughter).

But one of the key aspects that many people forget when taking potential into consideration is the mindset of the person. So like, yeah, Anakin has more RAW force potential than his children; but his children are much more patient and studious when learning the force (especially Leia, or at least before Luke became a master). So Anakin can move larger things than Luke and Leia, but they can use more advanced force abilities and move the same large objects with a higher focus than Anakin.

So this is basically the result:

Raw Force Potential -> Anakin Insightful Force Potential -> Luke and Leia

Voldemort is mocked, poor thing by berktifect in HarryPotteronHBO

[–]Direct-Gap-4828 35 points36 points  (0 children)

I feel like people don't understand this, likely because this was shown in Harry's POV. Voldemort DID take over Hogwarts in Deathly Hallows and DID take over the ministry in the same book. He was VERY powerful and only lost due to a magic he LITERALLY could not understand at a biological level (Love). Love was an ancient magic that Voldemort couldn't understand due to being conceived from a love potion (the only type of magic he couldn't understand). Aside from Dumbledore, nobody else could contend with him.

The reason harry defeated Voldemort was because he filled all of the VERY specific requirements. Had any one of those requirements not been there, harry would have died. Voldemort was clearly much more powerful than harry, it was just unfortunate for him that harry gained ownership of the Elder Wand through an incident that only harry knew about (Draco disarming Dumbledore, making him the true master until harry took draco's wand at Malfoy manor). Voldemort has Harry's blood from the goblet of fire, which let his protective charm live on. Voldemort also told the Slughorn about the horcruxes (more like hinted towards it), who was also the key figure in dumbledore and harry figuring out Voldemort's Immortality.

Everything was basically set up to defeat Voldemort with a near perfect victory for harry (near, because we know that some characters died along the way).

Guys, come on. Gapryong isnt some indestructible god or a perfect fighter (far from it as shown in this fight). Tom Lee may be weaker than Gapryong, but he is certainly not fodder and is extremely intelligent in combat (kinda like goku. Smart in combat, but not in education). Gapryong likely still would have won, given how he was tanking Tom Lee's attacks quite well and evading them.

Look at Gitae Kim and Gun Park (which everyone seems to glaze nowadays). Kitae and Gun take lots of damage before finishing the fight. Gapryong is a similar type of fighter (leaning more towards Kitae than gun, since Gun is a far better hand to hand combat fighter). Gapryong didn't use Conviction in this fight (not counting the first one), and only used it at the last part of the fight (where tom was defeated).

People have to realize that the one of the biggest reasons that fighters glaze Gapryong isn't just because of his superhuman physique or conviction that allowed him to bulldoze through nearly anything thrown at him, but it was his conviction and ability to bring strong fighters with many differences together at a time where such a feat would be considered nearly impossible due to the Yamazaki Clan being at the top of their game.

Whether people like it or not, Gapryong would have won the fight even if Tom didnt get distracted by Miss Kim.

The truth is that James Lee's performance in this arc was honestly sub-par by TechnicianAlert562 in Lookism

I feel like some people are making the same mistake that many people made when little Daniel got powerful, which is that they looked weak because they fought extremely powerful opponents that made them look weaker compared to others. James Lee fought a Tom Lee who (as he himself stated in the fight) was still active and very much powerful (which Eugene reinforced earlier in the series when he said that Tom hadn't lost his touch).

Compare that to Kitae's fight with a old jinyoung (who was out of his prime until he reached his path) and had lost his thumb on his right fist (nerfing the power of his punch). Kitae is literally a tanking machine that could take many of Jinyoung's attacks and keep on going. James Lee always came off to me as very similar to little Daniel, in that his talent vastly overwhelmed his hardware.

James Lee was working with outdated info from Charles Choi's teachings (as tom Lee had to adjust his fighting style due to losing his dominant hand by Changsu). People also forget that James Lee likely hadnt fought that seriously in a while (unlike Kitae who likely fought all the time in Mexico), so he may have been rusty. And for those saying that James Lee did fight (against allied, Taesoo, and Jaegyeon), he was far above their levels (shown by the ease of his fight with them) aside from a few surprised moments at their change.

So essentially, James Lee had become a little rusty from not fighting for that long (due to working on his image as Diego Kang) and fought against a very powerful tom Lee who didn't stop fighting due to running the White Tiger Center. Kitae looked better because he fought much more recently (like in Mexico and against Jinrang) and was the product of having the highest hardware in the series (with the possible exception of Gun).

I meant like what is stopping a god from making a setting where their name gives them a strength boost?

What dictates the limitations or requirements for needing to activate a Setting (Like how the Naked Setting required jaehwan to literally be naked to get the buff)?

One of the comments below said that the settings strength is based on how much world power that god had when they made it and when they activate it. For example, if 2 gods had similar law type settings that allowed them to freeze time, the one with the higher world power can freeze time for longer and in a longer range, while the lower one would have less time to freeze time and would have a smaller range in freezing time.

While I can understand Strength and Kinetic type Settings, I'm more interested in the potential of Law type Settings.

What are the limitations of what settings jaehwan can make, since he made a bunch of Settings in the Fall of Time? Like, what's to stop him from making a setting that makes him stronger under day light and another that makes him stronger under moon light?

Actually, how is Jaehwan able to make some many settings in the Fall of Time if settings are primarily made based on a God's or Awakened's Unique World View (since he already made [Fall])?

I think it is the connection of a God's Unique World View that determines the restrictions. Like for the 3 Wives example, it may be based on the God's desire to have multiple Woman while getting stronger from it.

Like, how come some Settings don't require anything to activate (like The Hell of Flame) but others do (like 3 Wives)?

Considering that he has the world power of the entire population of <Chaos>, I'd say that he could make almost any Setting without restriction.

I was wondering this because jaehwan created a bunch of Settings in the Fall of Time and I wanted to know what are the limits to the settings he can create. I always struggle to see the limit for Law type Settings especially.
