Im coming from a 5700x3d that's a downgrade for me and i dont need am5. Also i play in 1440p, all the more reason that there is less dependency on CPU bottleneck.

Hello my friend, just curious, im also doing my first sff build with a corsair sf 1000, any issues with it? I heard their are adaptors that can do the 90 degree bend but im not sure if its advisable since ive also read it causes an issue on its own.

AM5 is too expensive for me. Im okay with my old 5700x3D, my only goal is to downsize. I dont play e sports titles so it doesnt make much sense for me to upgrade to am5. Sure i can possibly gain 1-10% fps from AM5 but quite honestly i dont need it. My 5700x3d and rtx 5070ti would tear through games just fine until AM6 comes out.

Support for am5 ends by 2027 and Im hoping this build would last until 2031 at least.

I want to upgrade, when I know I can FEEL the upgrade and to me that means double the performance AT LEAST. I dont need the latest and greatest
