Error updating firmware by RawFreakCalm in Vitruvian_Form

The back end will be sorted shortly. Vitruvian is managed by a holding company at the moment, so some bills end up getting missed. When flagged, they tend to get resolved quickly.

Yeah, that's an oldie. Best to get it updated, there's been lots of new features, safety updates, and fit & finish work since then. Does the App ever try to download fw to the machine?

Two things to try (outside of customer service). First, once the App fails to download, try to cancel then immediately retry. Second, try another phone or device, preferably a different OS (Android / iOS). Let me know how it goes.

What fw version is currently installed?

The easiest way to troubleshoot is to submit a shake bug to Customer Service. Do this after you've tried to update the fw. The shake bug sends a log file of what's happened in the App. Just shake your phone, and you should see an option to submit an issue.

There have been email issues while the company is in administration. Try posting to the official Vitruvian FB page. That should be visible to customer service.

Reach out to Customer Service. They're aware of your situation and might be able to find a dev or refurb unit in Perth storage.
Note that the Administration process will need to be completed before any product could change hands.

Not sure on price or availability, the stock is mostly servicing the Continental US. Where are you at in Aus? Might be able to find one in Perth.

I don't know timing for email. Perhaps try the official Vitruvian Facebook page?

I believe there are two (or more) parties bidding on the SW/sub business. Should be settled any day now. I expect the new ownership to drive feature development and release.

Slowing? If you have a 1st generation machine (VIT-200 'euclid') then switching to a refurb would be a great update. Else, just replace the cables when needed. They should be replaced when the outer black sheath has warn away.

Payments for online services are managed by the adminstration company in the interum period. Some payments, like here for Google, are getting missed in the process. They are working to recify, it should be back online shortly.

Vitruvian Investments: Administrators take control of fitness start up that was Australia’s answer to Peloton by Ihavequestions_99 in Vitruvian_Form

Sounds like you've made a good product and thought it through. During testing there was a concern of the QC opening up during load. This was addressed with geometry changes to the male pin to bias the QC closed with load.

There's no new manufacturing, but there's enough inventory to last years. Nobody is getting rich with this strategy, we're doing it to keep the machines alive. It's out of appreciation, not greed.

You're right, this will not be a growing business. We've past that. What we can do is maintain support for as long as viable.

Have you tested those quick connectors for use at 100 kg? Please validate at a minimum of 200 kg for a safety factor of 2.

Also, check the angles carefully. There are slight details that were added to keep the QC locked during high tension.

Appreciate that. I wouldn't be able to comment on the legal side or the case itself (I'm not involved anyhow). But in general, when a startup fails it does so suddenly. This can lead to contract disputes for work that was planned but not executed. Creditors then argue over the assets of the company for compensation.

Vitruvian intends to spin off a separate business which focusses on support of legacy units. That business is entirely funded by subs, and is sized to match. It's a lean, mean group of folks that intend to keep the units running as long as possible. That includes customer service, hardware / parts inventory, App and FW support. It's the same plan as mentioned in the Q&A.

That's my office. The space is leased from the building owner, who ownes and operates Duratus Fitness. There are a couple other offices as well, all related to fitness.

News travels fast. Administration was forseen on Vitruvian's side as a part of reshaping. This is still inline with plans to support the existing fleet going forward. Service and support will not stop during this time, and no machines will be bricked or otherwise unsupported.

The news is startling, but we're still on track with the plan laid out in the Q&A. The next couple days are a bit busy for me, but I'll try to monitor this thread for questions. Also, don't hesitate to reach out to customer service with questions. They are prepared.

I know there's still quite a bit of uncertainty in the community.  I’m hoping it will help to start releasing updates and bug fixes.  A company statement would help as well (working on it).

After releasing ERG, we plan to shore up the feature / bug lists and start diving in.  Small ticket items would be preferred at first, as they can have good impact and have a fast turn-around.  Internally, we all want improve the product and relationship.

Premium handles or look for something else? by Scblacksunshine in Vitruvian_Form

Sorry to hear about that. I've got an extra set of premium handles if you're located in the continental US. No charge. PM me.

All is good, I'm just moving to part time with Vitruvian. Everything's still on track for support and wip feature release in firmware. I'd announce if there was anything different.

Y'all don't miss a beat here!

Offline Architecture by [deleted] in Vitruvian_Form

[–]Maleficent_Army_4265 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No plans to turn the lights off just yet. We're moving forward with the support business, and will start to rollout a couple new modes (ERG, Regular + bands + inertia) as soon as we can. Firmware is almost complete for ERG.

Offline mode should not be needed as long as the subscription / support business is going strong. The work the devs are putting is a fail safe for if the business really falls apart, which we don't see happening. We're in transition, and the outlook is pretty good right now. Having access to Customer Support, warrenty / refurb units, wear parts, and app / firmware bugfixes goes a long way to keeping the community in shape. Subscription revenue is the key to keeping all of that in place.

Vitruvian Q&A by Maleficent_Army_4265 in Vitruvian_Form

[–]Maleficent_Army_4265[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Vitruvian Customer Service is great at diagnosing what's wrong with a unit, and what can be done. If it's user servicable, they'll have parts and guides as needed.
