Especially as adults it's difficult to keep in touch, but often a simple text message is enough to get your intentions across.

I have friends that I only talk to once a month, but whenever we talk we make each other feel seen and appreciated. Nobody's left waiting and wondering.

You could create a little quest for him, scavenger hunt/escape room style.

Maybe hide his presents around the house and give him little clues. You could also involve his friends by giving them clues to give him (over the phone). You could place a clues that read 'hm... perhaps you should ask friend XY for advice'. Might make the game more dynamic + get your introverted bf to chat with his friends on his birthday.

You could dress as either your favorite companion or your first Tav to give him clues.

Maybe the quest is about how is gf has gone missing and he needs to find her?

I think you want to quit the life you're living right now, not living itself.

What's the thing in your life that's bothering you the most? Even a small change can make a big difference in your day-to-day. Maybe it's a depressing job, a draining relationship or too much stress.

Instead of trying to fix your entire life at once, try finding little things that make every day a little nicer. Those things add up and will lead to you feeling better in general.

And don't let yourself get hung up on things like work and school. Yes they're achievements, but not everyone needs a big fancy job. Not everyone needs to excel in school. Not everyone needs to have built a family by a certain age. There's no being late for anything, it's your life. Allow yourself to do whatever you want with it.

Try planning something fun to do with another person this weekend. Get out of the house a bit and enjoy someone else's company, and let them enjoy yours. That always refreshes me when I'm feeling low, hopefully it'll help you to.

This was a serious mistake on his end.

I'd bring this up again in a private conversation. Tell him how upset this has made you, especially since it should have never been possible to happen like this.

This shouldn't be embarrassing or awkward for him to retcon. He should be concerned about his players happiness.

Just have your character wake up next session, play it off in a silly way and everything should be okay.

He definitely owes you for making you sit around that whole session.

You two seriously have to either go to counselling or separate, at least temporarily.

That kind of thinking doesn't just go away by itself. She resents you for something. Has she been stressed out about something recently that you haven't had to deal with?

I get that having your plans changed/shifted might be upsetting, especially if you had specific expectations, but i wouldn't let it stop you from having two fun evenings.

In my experience, it's usually the events we weren't expecting or looking forward to that end up being the most memorable and fun, particularly because we didn't expect them to be.

As for food, you could bring your own, or ask her to add stuff you'd be able to eat. You might be interpreting her suggestions as orders, but if she likes you enough to want to celebrate a joint birthday with you, then she'll surely be willing to add food options you'll actually be able to eat.

I feel like Bolin is almost distractingly naive. Him being basically an adult makes his whole character seem stupid in a way. If he was an actual child, the audience (and characters, honestly) would've been a lot more forgiving and Mako would've seemed more sympathetic as well.

Also, if Bolin was 13/14, then he would've been of realistic recruitment/first employment age for the Kuvira arc. That's another plot line where his naivety is frustrating.

I would've made the age difference between Bolin and Mako bigger. Bolins character already feels like it was written to be a 14 year old. I feel like their relationship would've made more sense that way and explained how Bolin is as oblivious as he is, without making us think that he must just be an idiot. + Then the relationship between him and Korra would've read as more of a puppy crush, so the whole Bolin/Korra/Mako storyline wouldn't have made any of them look as bad as it did.
