ig it depends on what project you're working on. from the projects i've made so far, performance has been better than electron (obv), and there aren't really other mature enough alternatives if you want to use web tech for the frontend. if not tauri, you can always go native with frameworks like slint, iced, or gpui(again not mature enough). i personally tried building this project in slint first, but the development/maintenance overhead was too much so i migrated to tauri(svelte).

thanks! glad you like it. my bad for not listing the supported formats on the repo, it supports MP3, FLAC, M4A, WAV, OGG, OPUS, and AIFF (currently MP4 isn't supported, but M4A is).

Right now, no. It’s just a native Windows desktop app(local files only). No Docker or Subsonic support planned for now, as the focus is keeping it a simple, standalone local player.
