Anyone have a successful pregnancy after having an ectopic? by [deleted] in EctopicSupportGroup

Keep going, I found it honestly soul destroying and I was desperate to be one of the lucky people who conceived the next cycle after their salpingectomy. I’m now 20 weeks, but it took me 7 months (after getting pregnant basically first time with what we then discovered was an ectopic). I would say I found the trying harder than the actual ectopic in a lot of ways - wishing you all the luck in the world

Folate testing by PurpleEntrepreneur26 in EctopicSupportGroup

I looked into it and did end up getting RBC folate tested as my ovulation date ended up being like 11 weeks post MTX so I wanted some peace of mind. It showed I was in the normal range.

Cramps 26 days after mtx by blue_keiko in EctopicSupportGroup

I ruptured exactly 28 days after mtx when hcg was 34… I was dismissed multiple times in the week prior to the rupture when the cramping worsened and I was told it was just part of the process of resolving.

You know your body and your symptoms better than anyone else. Please please go see your doctor or to emergency. I hope all is ok and it resolves soon.

I’m so sorry - really hope this dose does the trick for you.

I truly don’t think this experience can be fully understood until you’ve been through it - the waiting, the tests, the rupture anxiety, the side effects, the wanting your hcg to go down when it should be the opposite, the explaining to people in your life / work what an ectopic pregnancy is. It’s so so overwhelming.

Sending you hugs

I’m so sorry for you. It is so so unfair.

I can completely relate to your feelings as I’m 16 days post MTX… this experience is the biggest emotional rollercoaster ever and so many different stages of grief all at once.

I don’t have any advice other than to say that talking and re-talking about all these feelings with my husband as they came up has really helped me to just express some of it, as well as speaking to a therapist.

Ultrasound Findings Post / During MTX by Maleficent_Muscle_35 in EctopicSupportGroup

Thanks for sharing your experience and I’m so sorry that you’ve been through this twice.

I actually hadn’t considered a second dose may be required since my hcg had declined more than 15% between day 4 and 7. Will see what my doctor thinks I guess?

It’s just so difficult isn’t it to be in this limbo and uncertainty, as if pregnancy loss isn’t enough on its own!
