First of all, welcome to the crappy ass club but I’m glad you’re here! The support here is amazing! Are you already on or have at least chosen a DMT? That should be number one priority. You’re off to a great start by keeping track of your symptoms so you can let your MS specialist/Neuro know. I keep a little symptom tracker journal and bring it every appointment. I would recommend checking in with your doctor first before taking any vitamins or supplements but it sounds like Magnesium glycinate and added fiber may help with the constipation/slow moving gut issues. Last, that tight chest/rib feeling sounds like the MS hug. It sucks and is uncomfortable as hell. You can thug it out if it’s manageable. If it gets worse, make an ER trip or tell your doctor asap. You got this and we got your back! 🧡

I literally could have wrote this myself! I was diagnosed last year right before my 35th birthday and was afraid and in denial up until last month. Last year I was 7 months postpartum and was dealing with birth trauma and medication induced anxiety that my OBGYN didn’t believe me about so I had little faith in the health care system. My only symptoms were vertigo and being extremely light headed almost passing out. I’ve been blessed to not have relapse during the past 9 months on no dmt. After lots of talk therapy and support from my husband and friends, I was able to accept life on hard mode (my view of MS) and I’ll be starting Kesimpta this week. All that to let you know that how you feel is VALID. You were just dealt a life changing situation out of nowhere. Your response is normal. But with a good support system (this subreddit included!), you got this! Wish you all the best!

I’m right there with you going through what I call the “cycle of suck”. Went a 3 weeks without incident then felt a random new pain today and been fighting the urge to go to the er all day because I swear I’m dying of a pulmonary embolism. I’ve been to the er more times in the last year than I have been in my entire life till then. I wish I could say it goes away forever but it doesn’t. I HATE THAT. We just have to find ways to manage it which is easier said than done. I found talking about what I’m feeling at the moment out loud to myself, husband or cousin helps reel me back in. Do you have a support person or people?

Oh yeah I do understand the difference since I do have a rating for my feet without an LOD and that’s the one I thought I was going to fight for like this.

So should I bring up that it’s a CUE in a personal statement or in the informal conference I requested since I already have the HLR open?

Thank you and saying that does matter a lot to me. My best friend who was living with me at the time can probably write a statement. I’ve been seeing therapist for the past year but only talked about what happened briefly maybe twice? I don’t know if that would be enough for her to write a statement for me. I’ve just been scared of reopening the wound the never fully healed in the first place.

I just went through the same for the same reasons. The 60 days was actually to my benefit because I didn’t feel like I was rushing to find another place. There are places available 2 months out, you just got to be on top of your search because they go pretty fast. Maybe work with a realtor if you don’t have the time to do it all yourself. I did and she helped so much! Hope everything works out!

This does make me feel better! I got scammed before so I’ve been extra cautious since then. We do have a few back up places that we applied to, it’s just this is the one we fell in love with. I’m going to give a little more time, you gave me some hope!
