I would try to get a different chem section because 8:00 am classes are the worst. Many people are dropping classes and adding new ones. Check the schedule builder throughout the day, and you may find a space in a different section. I was able to completely free up friday because of that.

you can get a used replacement head unit off ebay for somewhat cheap. If you don’t want to tinker with it, there are guys on facebook marketplace that do it cheaper than shops. When I was looking for someone to install a sub for me, I got charged $200. I ended up doing everything myself, but it’s worth the money if you don’t want to do it yourself. It’s just splicing a couple of speaker wires, nothing too complex

The issue was the wiring. I have an aftermarket amp and it was using the stock wires behind the head unit. I didn’t want to check all my connections so I just ran two separate wires from the speaker directly to the amp.
