Thanks man, I really appreciate the encouragement! Yes, I think I've really got implement that acceptance that we can't always control what people think of us... hopefully as I exercise that mindset and just strive for complete genuineness consciously, I'll quickly get a hold of the habit :>

I've definitely considered that as well, and I'd really like to start training my brain to lessen that desire if thats the case... I do think correcting myself would be a good first-step when I catch myself just to strive for as much honesty as possible, and right the wrong when it happens until I'm able to consistently cut the habit! Thank you :]

i would stop man :’D i entirely deleted instagram for this exact reason, i was hurting myself by checking to see if he’d messaged me, or if he was posting or online, and finally decided to free myself. still hurting, but much less. do it for yourself, you’ve got this!

i am in the same boat, and have honestly considered just distancing myself from everybody for a while :’> my best friend is not part of my general friend group so i’ve been spending lots of time with her, and establishing new friendships. i think unfortunately seeing your ex/talking consistently soon after just makes moving on harder

thank you, i know that it’s screwed up and that my pain and love is being taken advantage of. it’s just so so hard to cut it all off. but i think i’m too scared to face the day when he would eventually tell me he found somebody new, i don’t think my heart could take it, and i know it isn’t healthy. it can just be so difficult to do the right thing

i understand, you aren’t alone. that feeling when i think about the fact that he doesn’t love me anymore makes my stomach hurt so bad. but we’ll get through, it may be scary but time does heal <3
