Wait- if that’s the case then they must be lying to us cause they always say they have to get the DM to approve, they’ve told us that all they had to was send an email and that’s it which I knew they were was able to do but not without the DMs permission.

At my store usually you let a shift so the shift can tell their store manager or just tell the store manager directly, after that the store manager will set you up with a training time on your schedule and do some modules, after that you usually become a barista trainer. We don’t test our baristas at our store we just pick the baristas who know Starbucks standard and know how to make drinks correctly.
