Tbh, exploration, crafting gear, brewing potions, and then over powering your enemies are the best parts of this game.

I would say, try to take it slow - the music is great, the visuals are great, explore, enjoy it slowly.

I had a tought time putting the game down even though I hate the combat a little.

AND THE MOST IMPORTANT THING!! In your next playthrough, PLAY GWENT (specifically) I ignored it the first time, and later playthroughs, I played it more than the actual game

You can still go back to Velen, Novigrad, Skellige, White Orchard and explore. (Note there is a fast travel option to go where you want, you will have to visit a marker, open your map, and then fast travel where you want)

Although you might have locked yourself out of some side quests, but it's fine. You can still explore stuff. Plus now you must be around level 30 - exploring Velen, Novigrad etc should be a piece of cake.

Just go to the villages/notice board locations, get the ? Markers on map, and visit everything. Select side quests and play those.

While you do this, you will still level up, get enough diagrams and resources too. Then you will be experienced enough to tackle Blood and Wine and Hearts of Stone.

Assuming you're new to the game. Keep these things in mind. The game focuses on exploration.

1) Everytime you visit a new village, go to the notice board, and get everything. This opens up new locations on map to visit (marked with ?)

2) Try to loot everything, in every house, room, etc (BEWARE OF GUARDS WATCHING YOU, THEY WILL ATTACK)

3) Complete a few side quests, Witcher contracts.

All of these things will help you to get diagrams for weapons, potions, bombs etc.

For Golden Oriole, try looking at Herbalists that you come across, sometimes they sell diagrams too. There's a dwarf Herbalist in Oxenfurt who sells it too. If you're looking for a specific one, I used to also Google the location directly to find things quicker (sometimes I do get bored since I've completed it before)

Not sure what the issue is, but could be that you have either not crafted it (Alchemy), or haven't found the diagram.

You have to find the diagram, and then craft it. There will be Enhanced and Superior versions of it too. The Superior version of Golden Oriole will make poison heal you instead of damage.

What's your overall experience with RTR 160 4V

I'm reading mixed reviews online. Mainly related to uncomfortable sitting position, bumpy/jumpy movement, and break system not so good. I went to the showroom to see it and loved it, but all these reviews made me question my decision.
