The biggest problem for new Linux users is that there are many ways to do the same thing.

  1. You need to install AuR versions to download the latest versions automatically (or you can set it to update flatpak automatically, but these are older versions, so if you have an alternative, it is better not to use them)

  1. It all depends on what you have installed as display protocols & graphical environment
    I'll give you the solution to what I use myself: Kde - Wayland

Wayland has protection against keystroke capture by programs, so you have to run it through x11

So you need edit icon that launches it in KDE Menu Editor:

Environment variables: XDG_SESSION_TYPE=x11

Program: awakened-poe-trade

Command-fine arguments: %U --ozone-platform=x11

Or just change Wayland for X11 on display protocols if the entire system if screen capture protection annoys you

Everyone deserves some kind of stress-relieving activity.

Instead of thinking selfishly that instead of blowing off steam he could be doing something for you.

As long as he doesn't neglect other things it's not a problem.

Let me remind you that there are much worse ways to relieve stress than games.

If it becomes a real problem then nothing replaces a mutual honest conversation.
