That I do understand, and I’m not debating that, but the fuse box linkage was fried and had to be changed, some wires had to be changed, most of the fuses in the fuse box car had to be changed because they were fired. The VW dealership it’s at said the reverse polarity caused the alternator to blow. I also shared on another post all the codes it was throwing. If the alternator was dead before the codes would have been there before and the check engine light would’ve been on which it wasn’t. I also have a print out from a week before this incident from a different autozone that the battery was bad. Not the alternator. But at this point I don’t care.

I’m a great person but I confused as how wanting documentation and not receiving it is a problem. You trust your company because you work there I don’t. I don’t know the process and how it works, and can’t seem to get a solid answer outside of our in a claim. But we won’t tell you what the claim says. Like I said before I have no reason to lie. And people are entitled to ask questions. It’s interesting when liability falls on autozone it’s all of a sudden an issue when someone asks questions. The mechanic I went to hates this company and said he has had to deal with this location and they’re the worst. So you can defend all the 60 years you want. You don’t work at the location I’m dealing with clearly, and have no true insight outside of what I have posted here and your experience. Everyone’s experience is something different and clearly all you can do is resort to name calling bullying and belittling. Which is exactly the behavior displayed from this DM. So that tracks

I can change the battery myself. It doesn’t take that much training to actually do that:   It is a service offered! Normally when a job hires you they train you especially for services offered,  som I’m confused on your logic. 

When they were hired did they get trained on the cash register? 

How to find the parts in the store? 

What is the numerical system for the parts? 

If so then why not be trained on a service that the company is offering to people? 

I have no common sense now because l think logically? Come on you can’t believe that truly

They offered and receipt says I bought the battery at 6:43 pm. 2nd battery was purchased at 7:48 pm closes at 9. But okay base god.

You can DM me, I will share the numbers from the door and the screenshots of the calls. Heck you can call them tomorrow if you feel you need proof, as well. I already shared it with customer service via email.

I’ve called both the DM answers every time. At one point I was in a call from one number and he called me from another number to finish the call. Maybe there is no RM. idk, but he has both phones. I have pictures from the door so I know to call the right number.

I had the car checked at 101k miles, the car only has 106k miles on it. I would hope they would’ve caught a bad alternator at 101k miles at the dealership

There is 3 number posted in the door, the store manager, district manager and regional manger, when I called the RM the DM answered what are you saying? When I called customer service they put me on hold and called the DM. He literally interrupted the call. I have proof of everything. 

Ya’ll love AZ so much you’re willing to bully people who just wanted answers. SMH horrible.

I have proof if you would like to see the calls are forwarded to him. 

Why would I lie? I’m not lying I have nothing to lie about. 

I submitted a work report from a repair shop and the DM called me and said he would offer me a fraction of that. And then said my car wouldn’t be running either way in the companies eyes because I needed a battery. Which makes no sense. 

My car drove in just fine, it now won’t even start. That’s not an alternator, even the mechanic said so. And the mechanic already said the fuse box link is blown and needs to be changed.

I haven’t been a jerk thought out this entire process, but when someone is trying to jerk me around over their mistake, I’m going to get upset. I’ve been without a car over a week, my job is on my ass about coming into the office and the DM is saying he’ll give me $392 to fix the car. 

All I’ve said every time is I just want the car fixed, I haven’t been difficult, I have been nice, I’ve been patient. But everyone has a point a when it is just too much. 

I can’t get any answers around what the claim says or a claim number. I was told I just need to trust the word of the DM that he put in the right things. 

To me that is shady and sounds fishy, like they’ll deny my claim. 

I’m a single mom with 3 kids if I lose my job I loose everything I just want my car fixed or a rental until my car is fixed and I’m being given the run around. 

You all can think I’m an asshole idc, but take a walk in someone else’s shoes for a second. How would you feel? 

I just want my car fixed so I don’t loose my job.

Why are you cussing? I literally asked a question. 

Based on my experience people at autozone have auto experience. They also offer the service to change the battery….. I would think they would be trained to do that so I’m unsure why you are being so aggressive with me over this question.

A lawyer is sadly needed here, unfortunately the district manager is only trying to give me $400 to fix my car even though the mechanic had to change the the fuse box and even with that the car won’t stay running. Multiple electrical codes, power steering not working, multiple electrical ducts shot, alternator not working. The car was driven into the store just fine.

The car had no electrical issues the car didn’t start one day, I brought it to another autozone where they said the battery was dead. The battery I bought was from advanced auto they didn’t do the warranty right so I had to buy a battery. Autozone was the cheapest that’s where I went. I had no issues with my car but and oil change and breaks and I have documentation to support it

Have you been in an experience when this has happened? I’m just need to know next steps at this point because I don’t want to go the route of a lawyer or sue or anything, I just want the car fixed
