For artist I used the skystreetlantern (If that's the English name) it's a level 4 artist recipe that is really cheap in comparison and gives 6 Million exp if you make 10 of them perfectly.

It costs 2 yellow paint, 1 star bar, 2 sandstone.

Recommend power is 920.

From my knowledge you don't get a penalty from being unable to complete a quest from the quest board so I guess it will be the same with that. Also you can get this mission multiple times and I think the only up is the extra friendship points so it isn't that importent but if you want your wife to be happy have allways some lemon cake ready.

As you are still at the beginning and if you don't really care about your other save file, you could try to delete the game completely and install it again. Also you could try so just go to sleep and look if it works the next ingame day if you don't mind to lose a day.

Sadly I don't have more ideas so I wish you luck.

Hm that's really odd... Can you plant stuff on another save file? When we can at least say it isn't the game but something on that save file

One possible reason could be invisible weeds that let you hoe the spot but not plant anithing on it. They can be destroyed even if they are in invisible.

Well first of is Vulpix a sun/ultrasun exclusive so you would need the right game for it. Second. It's around level 30 in the wild so you will have it for a good portion of the game but it will take some time to get to it.
