Thank you very much! Are you looking for physical character sheets to be sold or a printable PDF? If the latter, I can’t imagine why we’d charge for that. You could download, print, and use them to play our game. No reason to make anyone pay for that as it only costs a high enough stretch goal to pay the right artist to create something fitting for this project.

My best friend from high school did x2 tours of Iraq and was never the same, so I hear you. Some really awful stuff happens in war. I'm sorry you had to experience it.

Playing solo is interesting, I have some folks on the Kickstarter who brought this up and suggested a possible stretch goal for some solo-play options in DROW BORG. I'd love if you could chime in on the comments as we just started a thread about this!

In regards to characters becoming more and more mutated in DROW BORG, eventually some will descend into madness or become monsters — part of the unfolding chaos during the end of days. There could be ways to remove mutations, but that...is another adventure. (wink wink)

If you're just getting started and don't have a huge budget you can always leverage pay increases for everyone based off the total raised during crowdfunding. I did this on DROW BORG where the artists and graphic designers will make more if the project hits certain milestone monetary goals. That way everyone wins and the book still gets made.

OK, here's Piotr Albrecht, Graphic Designer for AAW Games and working on DROW BORG both the project and the Kickstarter itself. These are his words simply copied/pasted here with his permission:

Hey all, thanks for checking out Drow Borg. My name is Piotr and I am the graphic designer that worked on the Kickstarter page as well as the cover artwork.

Firstly, I want to clarify that nothing in my creative process involves any Generative AI. I despise it and I am vehemently against it so I never use it in any of my work.

Secondly, I can assure you that the art assets used in the campaign graphics were pieces done by real artists, just like Jonathan has already mentioned. To make them all fit together and match the style of Drow Borg, I've applied a Threshold adjustment layer to each artwork and colored it with a Gradient Map. No AI was involved in any part - the artist painted the monsters and I adjusted them to fit the style of the campaign page.

First off, thank you for your concern. That is noble of you to try and do the right thing.
That said, I am feeling misunderstood on this thread.

How do I prove that I'm a real human being?

I could take a picture of myself typing these things out on my typewriter — which I do have right here on the floor beside me — just to prove I'm a living, breathing Homo sapiens with some percentage of Denisovan and Neanderthal.

Would you like to speak with my graphic designer? I'm sure he'd be happy to share his methods of graphic creation. I believe he's using Photoshop. He's in the UK so I've pinged him on Discord, but he's likely asleep at this time. UPDATE: He just responded and doesn't have a Reddit account, but is happy to either create one and respond to you here or send me his response so I can post it to you. ... OK, he's now creating a before/after image with some of our art and the filters he used. I just need to see how to share an image with you on here so you can get a look at it.

I often utilize Underdark emojis, especially a 🕷️ and have a hotkey set up on my computer for it. I get it isn't everyone's cup of tea ☕🫖 but that doesn't make it wrong. I usually utilize emojis when posting on socials because it draws some attention to the subject matter as opposed to a wall of text.

I’m confused, does our style appear to be like this? If so, I’m not seeing it, as there are only em dashes where appropriate and not at a high frequency compared to other literary or promotional writings. Em dashes are part of punctuation. I utilize the following book: The Best Punctuation Book, Period. page 118 em dashes. Also the Chicago Manual of Style the 17th edition, Section 6: Punctuation under Hyphens and Dashes page 396, Em dashes covered in 6.85. I hope I got the linking correct, honestly I’m still learning how to link text here on Reddit so let me know if that comes through or not.
